A Very Durable Work Glove
These are the basic work glove that has been around nigh on forever, and they still work very well. If your hands have no calluses at all, and your skin is on the delicate side, you might want to put bandaids on your hands where you are most likely to get hot spots or blisters. For me, that's in the crook of my thumbs. THEN put on these gloves, and you'll be fine. Occasionally, for cold weather work, you could consider buying a size up and wearing a glove liner to keep your hands warmer. These are not made for warmth. But neither do they heat up your hands. The specific reason I got these is that I purchased a Cold Steel brand practice bokken (training sword like the one in the Highlander, but not sharp and made of very strong plastic), and reviewers of it said it could give blisters in long training sessions. I have a lot of gloves, but none that were just very basic, so I got these, and they are doing the job of keeping me blisterless while training. They will work just as well for gardening, pounding nails in DIY projects, anything where your hands could use some protection. They last about a year if you use them daily, but you can lengthen that if you care for them, meaning getting mud and dirt off them and drying them slowly so they don't shrink much at all. You can rub wax into them to increase their proof against water, but try not to get them really wet and forget to dry them after you clean them as best you can.For bokken training, they will last a good long while. The one thing I would avoid using these for is work around fire. They aren't meant for that. If you need gloves to use around fire, get the proper gloves for that.Take care of these, and they will serve you well for 1-1.5 years, and are good spare gloves to have around. Put a couple pairs in your stash, for when these eventually wear out. You won't be sorry.

great gloves
for Chinese made gloves, these were a real surprise! The most comfortable leather gloves I have owned. I have very large hands and the extra large fit perfectly. I don't know how long they will hold up as I just have used them a month. One interesting observation is that unlike regular leather gloves that get stiff after being wet and then drying out, these gloves dry soft and pliable. I always previously hated putting on leather gloves after they dried following getting wet. Not any more!

Best fitting gloves I've ever worn!
I looked at dozens of leather gloves online and many reviews complained about short fingers, long thumbs or other problems with the fit. These gloves are perfect, almost as if they were custom tailored for me. And talk about soft, the leather is not especially thin but it is very supple, they are a real bargain. Buy them , you won't regret it (unless you have short fingers or long thumbs)."

Perfect fit and SOFT!
These are the perfect gloves for anyone needing a good-fitting leather glove to secure holding onto slippery items, like metal poles, etc. I no longer have my balance and must use a walker. I have extremely strong hands, but need help with slipping. These gloves do exactly what I need them to do. They're well-made, fit beautifully and comfortably, and I'd recommend them to anyone wanting these attributes in what might be considered a work glove.

Great gloves
Went camping a couple of weeks ago and chopped firewood bare-handed. After wearing a blister for two weeks on the base of my finger, I figured there has got to be a better way, right? Bought these to take care of the light work. Today, I was setting up my backpack for the next trip and some MOLLE webbing failed on me and I needed to re-sew the gear. It's pretty tough to drive a big fat needle through this gauge of gear and I started off with using pliers to push the needle through the material. Then I thought of these gloves and put them on. I'm halfway through my project tonight and had to take a break to share this message--These gloves are so workable that I can actually sew with them. No kidding! Perfect glove for what they are designed for. Just make sure you follow the sizing chart. You can't go wrong with these. Order two pair. I did!

The best bargain in utility leather gloves I have ever seen.
The fit and workmanship are outstanding! The best part is the quality of the leather. Sheepskin is usually reserved for dress gloves because it is softer and thinner than cowhide. This sheepskin is cut to a thickness similar to cowhide used in utility gloves, but it is so comfortable and conforming to the shape of your hand. The smoothness is as nice as any sheepskin or lambskin you will find anywhere. It's still hard to believe all the quality you get for 11 bucks. I'm getting another pair to keep as clean as possible for casual wear and the other pair will be for work. You may want to do the same! You can't go wrong for $11.

Quality gloves - but enormous
Wonderful gloves but small size is extremely large. They come from the states so too difficult /expensive to return and nothing comparible quality wise out there. May try sewing then to make smaller.
