This compass is 10 times the quality that I expected. It has some weight to it but the pouch is nice leather, it has a lever to hold the needle while in transport, It is defiantly made of brass

Beautiful gift - had to shine up the brass a bit before giving as a gift. It looked much better once I wiped it with a dry soft cloth.

It was exactly what I needed. I use compass's for graduation gifts and have written a note to go with it to explain why it is important at this time. I would be glad to share it with the Mft. if they are interested.

Beautiful workmanship and very good quality materials.

Completely different case, not at all as advertised in the description. Very disappointed, especially by the fact that this case and compass is 100% identical to one sold by nauticalmart for much cheaper ($24). I would have returned it but I bought it as a gift and didn't have enough time to purchase another compass in its place that would arrive on time to be gifted. I want my $ back!
