The Real Deal
The ones purchased from Amazon.com were manufactured by Power Fasteners (made in Taiwan). Being in a humid, salt air environment, I spend a little extra money to buy high quality stainless steel screws to avoid rusty screws (and hassle of broken heads caused by rust over time) and associated stains on walls. A comment from another reviewer indicates these are being falsely advertised as stainless steel because they do not stick to a magnet. There are many grades of stainless steel with some magnetic while others are not. Type 410 is a martensitic stainless steel which is magnetic and provides excellent corrosion resistance plus high strength and hardness. Type 316, marine grade, is austenitic stainless steel and not magnetic.I was concerned these might be a cheap knock-off and not authentic Power Fasteners' 410 SS screws. To my knowledge, the name "Powers Fastening Innovations" used in the description and link is not the name of the original company (i.e., Power Fasteners) which caused me to wonder what I was really buying. Power Fasteners is now branded as a DeWalt product after being acquired by Stanley Black & Decker.I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and a price of about $22.50 is very reasonable. The 100 ct. box also included the proper size drill bit. Thanks to the other seller (CF) for clarifying certain info.

They are Type 410 stainless steel with a coating
Type 410 stainless is harder and other types won't work for driving screws into concrete . These have a silver coating on them because Type 410 Stainless can get some corrosion, that's normal, so don't expect something that's not possible. I bought another manufacturer's 410 SS concrete screws to compare and they are similar and coated. I bought these because I wanted an alternative to the rusty blue screws and am glad I found these.

Seller should NOT advertise stenless steel when in fact this ...
Seller should NOT advertise stenless steel when in fact this fastening is NOT stenless steal. No brainer that steenless steal do not sticks to magnets. I am in a middle of a construction project and had to use these fastenings. Otherwise, I would have returned them in a heart beat! What a frustration!!

Jeeez... some stainless grades are magnetic
These are exactly as advertised.... some reviewers must not be familiar with stainless properties. Some grades of stainless are magnetic. And it is possible to coat stainless for extra protection. Nonetheless this is a good product for the price and is as advertised.
