Baby Genius: Trip to San Diego Zoo

We bought this for our granddaughter as she likes zoo animals. She is only 15 months old but she likes to look at the animals and she is learning their sounds so we thought she might like this video. We were hesitate about buying it based on reviews about the classic music in the background so we thought we would watch it first before giving it to her. Watching it ourselves, we were impressed with all the animals that were included in the video. Yes, we were not able to actually hear the sounds that the animals make but the music that accompanies the video was not bad. There are children in the video who are enjoying the zoo and most kids like to see others children so it was fun to see the expressions on the children as they partake in the different parts of the zoo. Our son said our granddaughter liked the video and she did like watching the kids in the movie too. She was making or trying to make the animal noises as the animals came on the screen. I think this video is a fun, educational movie for kids as they learn about the animal kingdom.

This is my 13mth old's favorite thing to watch and has been since about 11mths. I enjoy it because while it is on it is just nice background music. There are lots of different animals and footage of small children viewing them at the zoo exhibits. No, the cartoon characters popping up aren't necessary, but he seems to like those too. Highly recommended for toddlers under 2yrs who do not benefit from flashy teaching material.

The only way I could see it!

So happy to have found another copy of this great DVD. My granddaughter age two and I watch it often. This copy is for my grandson in Dallas who just turned one. Now whether I am in Illinois or Texas I can enjoy the zoo with my precious little ones. Maybe I should get a copy for when I am home in Florida with their great-grandmother. The musical score is delightful, too.

My three-year-old son loves this dvd. He is a huge fan of animals, and the two zoos near our home. He is constantly flipping through animal encyclopedias, doing animal puzzles or viewing animal websites.This is a good dvd for his never-ending appetite for animals. The classical music is very soothing, they break up the videos of animals with the ABC's, and the footage of the San Diego zoo is beautiful.

The classical music in this vid is exceptional, and the animal scenes are awesome. This is by far my favorite Baby Genius vid, which are all pretty darn good. My toddler loves to watch the 'baby animals' as she calls them. Amazon prices are about 70% less than anywhere else you can find Baby Genius vids.

My son loves this DVD. It was to replace one I bought him before that was worn out. Very happy with this purchase.

I nought this DVD to introduce animals to my now 12 month old daugther. I believe she was about 9 or 10 months old when I ordered it and I noticed how it didn't make much of an impact inher. In fact, she was more interested in the Mozart and Friends Sleepytime DVD.This video has animals but also cartoons. I still play it now that she is 12 months old and she just doesn't find it entertaining.

Annoying but great DVD lovely zoo

落ち着いたクラッシック音楽がひたすら流れるなかで、子供たちが動物園の動物たちとたわむれています。特にすごいのは、シロクマなどの入っている水槽のガラスがとても澄んでいて、きれいなので、水のなかで泳いだりしている動物さんたちがすがすがしく気持ちよさそうに見えます。英語の音声がほとんど入っていないせいもあり、見ているだけで、とてもくつろいだ気分になれます。うちの２歳半の男の子も一生懸命見ているかと思えば、BGM代わりにして、遊んでいます。　とっても心が癒されるビデオです。動物園全体が水も含めてとってもきれいで、美しいので、思わず行きたくなります。

No matter how much I tried to "promote" this DVD, my son just couldn't get into it! Not at the age of 18 months, not at 2, not at 2half!Unfortunately this DVD was too slow in motion and didnt catch the attention! Just animals wondering around in the zoo and nothing else.Even the CD isn't as exceptional! It is the basically the soundtrack.If your child loves watching animals, then this is your DVD! Mine loves animals but not like this!
