Buyer be ware""
Pump looks Ok and appears to run OK but the problem is there's not much info about the pump , like where it made , operating spects and warrentee .And I suspect the operation option using 220v is not legal with their pig tail set up so either get an electrician or if capable rewire it properly for safe operationsI sent a list of questions to seller but answers were vague and incomplete--However its a cheap price for a pump----,its made in china and most likely "you get what you pay for" I replaced a hayward pump to save a few bucks not sure it was a smart move!

worked for 4 hours
I did buy this pool pump to replace my very expensive super quiet pump. First it arrived all wet, so I assumed it was tested which is a good thing. After modifying my pool fittings from 2" down to the 1.5" that this pump takes. pump was pre-wired with a standard wall plug cable??? i did not know that pool pumps need to be plugged in wall outlet? so I removed the cable and Hardwired to my 220 volt line and flipped switch in back to 220 volts, Filled basket with water, put garden hose at full blast into skimmer to help fast prime. It took more than 5 minutes to start pumping good. Then left it on but the flow was not even close to my old 1.5 hp pump. 4 hours laterthere was no water flow but motor was on, so did the priming process again and then only ran for 20 minutes then flow stopped again. and again Did the priming again and will not even prime anymore. SO I decided my time and stress levels are worth more than the savings that i was trying to do so I ordered an original replacement to my expensive pump and decided that you really get what you pay for. not even sure if i can return this after being hardwired in . on the positive side looks good, not heavy and very quit I only wish it would have worked as described.

Returned this item. Indoor pump per owners manual.
Returned this item. Owners manual states this is an INDOOR pump. Now wiring information.Owners manual did not provide any instructions, just a bunch of warnings and legal warnings. Could not find a fitting for the outside connections. Inside connection was for a 1 inch hose. Might work for others but not for me. Thanks Amazon for a great return policy.

Cheap pump. Doesn't last
I installed the pump and it worked well for about 2 months and then stopped. I had it professionally repaired and was told at that time it was a piece of junk, but I didn't want to admit defeat (plus the company was already either out of business or unreachable. For a variety of factors, I was not using the pump for about a year as I re-built my entire pond. After the pond was finished, I got the pump running again, but it leaked. I again had it professionally repaired, but within less than a month it was leaking again. Piece of junk. And no warranty or recourse to have it repaired.

Purchased 3/16/2018, installed pump after delivery around the 21st.. Burned out on 6/30/2018 and can't get a replacement because it's been over 90 days. Worked approximately 99 days. Don't buy unless you want to spend time and money replacing a pump every quarter of the year. Never bought a new pump before that wasn't warranted for at least a year. Check out return and replacement before purchasing. Even the product description says that the pump has a 1 year warranty : " A 1 year warranty is standard with each SumpMarine pump and a full 60 day return policy is offered, "

Works great! Replaced 1 1/2 hp big name pool pump ...
Works great! Replaced 1 1/2 hp big name pool pump that cost three times as much. Same size inlet/outlet. Very quiet and powerful. Would like wiring diagram to be included. I replaced wire rather than splice for 230 volt use. Not difficult to figure out though. I just opened motor and put new wires where old ones were, then flipped the switch. Taped over switch so it didn't get bumped back to 110 volt.

Works but more like a 1HP pump than a 2HP Pump
The cover has brokenand I have reached out to the for a replacement and not received an answer back to four months. The pool pump works but there are no instructions or wiring diagram for 230 volts. Also the lid has cracked after only a couple of days in service. FYI for those of you who are thinking of using this pump to replace your inground pump, it works and it is quiet but does not fully ulitilize its supposed 2HP, at best it is a 1HP motor.

Works good and no problems for 5 months so far.
Been running this pump for a few months now and it is superb. Much quieter than a Hayward and no leaks. Wiring instructions leave a bit to the imagination but I figured it out. The switch for switching from 110 to 220 is a bit cheesy and broke immediately but I bonded it back into the rear cover. The flow is a little less than a 1.5 hp Hayward but not much. Seems to pick up prime easier than the Hayward I had before.
