This meets all of my expectations and needs! The night-time street lights and early-morning sunshine used to glare into the room along the sides of the curtains with the old usual, finial-end type rod. Problem solved! I use lined, light-filtering curtains with mini blinds and wasn't after total blackout, just glaring-light reduction. Thanks to the bracket design fitting the sturdy rod snugly to the wall without wobbling or sagging, it hangs over a 59" window frame without the need for the center bracket. Be advised: the brackets are specific to this rod, so if you accidentally drop one down an air conditioner vent, you're screwed, no pun intended! I previously ordered a cheaper brand that arrived marred and was returned. Totally worth a few dollars more for the Umbra brand. One-person frustration-free installation. I like that it only sticks out from the wall about 4.5", as the window is right beside a door. Arrived in great condition with no missing or hard to fit parts, with simple instructions. Recommended!

These curtain rods are the best! I purchased these same rods (double rods) a couple of years ago. They are super easy to install and look great. I especially love the way they wrap around the sides so no light comes in. I'll be purchasing for my upstairs bedroom in the next few months - I'll be sure to be getting these for the 3rd time! You can use any type curtain with them, too.

Clean and simple look. There was a set in the bedroom when I bought the house and liked the clean look of them, and the wrap around feature. Looked for a while to find the same set up and when I did I ordered more for my house...other bedrooms and for the dining room.
