Works great for dogs whom have dry mouth problems

I was recommended by my friend to buy this. It’s really good for my family dog’s mouth. Odor is diminished obviously after 1-2 days. It’s a very good product for doggy :)

I've been using Oratene's Drinking Water Additive for my 8 year old pit-mix for about 2 weeks now. I was drawn to this product because it appears to be the veterinary line produced by Biotene, which is a human mouthwash that I have sworn by for years.After trying another water additive a while back, I was reluctant to try any others. It had been minty flavored (not in itself a downside, except that I think my dog was opposed to the flavor) and it caused the water to foam. Suffice it to say, my pup wouldn't get NEAR that water. That was probably a year ago, and recently I decided to look for another product to hopefully help combat her bad breath. Her teeth are in great shape, and she has been given a Dentastix snack every night since she was a puppy, but all the same, her breath is pretty off-putting.It doesn't take much of the Oratene per bowl of water - so it feels like the 4 oz. bottle it will probably last a while, even with using it (*ahem* when I remember) in two separate bowls (I keep one with her food, and one in my bedroom so she can get a drink at night if she's thirsty). I was immediately pleased to discover that it does NOT make the water foam, nor does it have a smell. In fact, my pup doesn't seem to notice it's there at all, and she continues to drink from the bowls. I have seen some improvement in her breath, and I think I'll likely see more once I get better about putting the Oratene in her bedroom bowl as well - as she actually favors that bowl in general.Overall, I'm very pleased with this product, and I anticipate keeping it on hand at all times. I will update this review once I've been consistently putting the Oratene in -both- water bowls so I can give a better idea as to how effective it has been.

This product was recommend by my veterinarian. The dogs seems to like it. Product was wrap securely.

My fur babies vetinarian prescribes this for my elder lil boy. Sad that the vets charge far more than Amazon.

The product is great! Five stars. Cured our dogs breath as she is too old for another dental cleaning, etc. The problem is that the item is half the size 4 oz compared to the 8oz which is sold cheaper at other sites. My fault for not looking closely at the size before ordering. Just assumed that 18.99 would be the cost of the larger bottle.

I have 2 dogs who recently had their teeth cleaned. One of my guys has really bad tartar, even though he gets dental sticks and brushing. The vet suggested I try a dental additive to their water to see if that helps. I was afraid the dogs wouldn’t drink the water, but so far they’ve been drinking and I guess the next time they’re at the vet I hope they get a good report card! Will be buying more!

This product simply does not work. I am a veterinary student and unfortunately learned about proper water additives for cats/dogs after purchasing this product.According to the doctor I studied under the ingredient to look for in water additives is CHLORHEXIDINE (an antiseptic/disinfectant) which is NOT in this product. Along with that, since water additives are not technically a medication there is no approval process they must go through to make sure they do what they are claiming, which seems to be exactly what happened with this product.I followed the instructions of “changing water daily” and still found mold/mildew in my cats water bowl which never happened before using this product. And arguably my cats breath smelled worse since using this. I don’t normally leave reviews but I am very upset at how much false advertising this product has been plastered with and I hope that people can learn from my mistakes and do extensive research to find the proper water additives for their pet before spending almost $20 on a product that turns out is non-refundable.
