Yohji Yamamoto: (E)

Long on waffle, short on pictures. Lots (and lots) of essays and interviews, hardly any pictures that show any detail of the clothes.

After being disappointed by the exhibition at the Victoria&Albert Museum, I bought this book as a gift and must say that was once more disappointed. Although full of pictures, it fails to portray Yohji's genius and doesn't add anything - with its essays - to the academic debate regarding Japanese fashion

This book is more of "coffee table" book, I don't own a coffee table, but I'm keeping this in my fashion book collection, but beware, the texture of the book, isn't like a normal book, it might like to attract dirt, so I'm not touching this book again until I desperately need it, but over all great book.

This book is really great for anyone interested in Yohji Yamamoto's work. The book is well presented and has lovely pictures and interviews in. A must!
