If you want to order this, feel comfortable doing so as I'm sure it works. Before trimming the insert, ensure the correct size insert is in the bag. Mine had a pair one size too large - just a mistake in packaging.I tried this on a boot with a high shaft and it was difficult to insert as the front (toe) portion of the insert isn't very rigid. Due to the high boot shaft, I couldn't get my hand inside the boot far enough to place the insert with the toe of the insert folding over. I'm sure it will work fine on sneakers or low shaft boots. Not a knock on the product really, just tough to insert on a tall boot
