KOB HONDA TRX300FW 4x4 Fourtrax Rear Differential Ring & Pinion Gear + Bearing kit 88-00 Nut Tool Included

Good price, only part wasn’t with the kit I had was right axle bearing and seal , not sure if it part of the kit or not but had to use my old bearing and seal on the right side

The kit arrived without the ring and pinion gear emailed to get the ring and pinion sent, customer service replied quickly. Waited a couple of weeks, emailed them again found out it had been sent back to the warehouse they mailed it out again received it several weeks later in the end. Fed Ex at fault? Noticed the pinion seal was completely the wrong size and the outboard axle seal was thinner than OEM. The tool provided in the kit to remove the pinion shaft didn't fit a 3/8" drive or 1/2" drive ratchet, ended up welding a nut to the top of it. The ring gear tolerance where it slides through the bearing was extremely tight and was putting a lot of pressure on the bearing had to use emery cloth and sand down ring gear to reduce the interference. I had to change shims as well, the backlash was way off to the point I was unable to rotate the axle so you may need to purchase some shims to complete the job as well. In my opinion, the quality of the seals were of less quality than others as they didn't have the metal shield on them. Overall this was a cheaper way to rebuild the diff but I guess it was cheaper for a reason. I would recommend using better quality seals.

I have a great mechanic that lets me order my own parts. so it’s much cheaper then letting him order it for me. But he will not put on parts and warranty it, if they are cheaply made. So far all the parts I’ve ordered through Amazon and 2cycle have been very high quality and very reliable. I will keep ordering from them.
