Excellent book! I'm reading it together with my 11 yrs old daughter and we both love it! We're only half way through so far, but it is really well written. Appropriate language, not too infantile and not too serious. It's inspiring and offers a wide range of solutions for many popular teenage "problems". But there's no preaching or telling off. It just subtly suggests or sets the right mind set and lets the reader to draw their own conclusions! Perfect for a younger teenager.

These books are brilliant, Americanised a bit for us English readers but the kids seem to like that. Really explores a subject in a cool, relatable way and helps talk through a topic that they don’t want to hear from mum or dad!Only wish they’d do them for boys!

The American Girl series of books are fantastic. Our daughter is 10 and reads her book over and over again. The book contains topics that are current and ongoing for this age group. We sit down and talk about what she has read. It provides simple and straight-forward advice on how to handle the drama, rumours that this age group deals with. Highly recommend it.

I love these series of books I've bought a few for my 12 year old daughters now & they are well written & explained. They really help understand friendships/fall outs/bullys etc. Although they're American it didn't make any difference

A very good book. Bought for my 9 yo daughter, and she read it the same day. Written in simple and clear language, and explains how to deal with some awkward and complicated issues that happen in girls' friendships

I was recommended this book and others in the series by a friend with an 11 year old daughter, so I bought them for my daughter. She's been a fan of American Girl dolls, so these books were an easy sell and she has found them invaluable.

5th grade teacher here, this book is well written and has good advice. I was not expecting the quality from an American Girl book, but here we are. Hoping it helps some kids navigate this pre-middle school time. Great book.

Bought a lot of these books in the series for my twin daughters. Very well written, amazing advice, suitable for ages 10+ as described. Love these a lot as a Mother and my girls find them fun and incredibly informative to read. Would highly recommend!

Very pre teen friendly

I wrote a review for "Feelings" also from the American Girl series with more details, but I gave 3 books from the series to my friend's daughter and they went over better than I could have imagined. She has been reading them all the time and I thought she'd be into them when lead by mom to read them together. It seems she likes to read them herself, to have mom or her aunt read them with or to her, and she likes talking about the topics that come up in them. I couldn't be happier with the purchase!
