Impressed so far!
I bought this product a bit dubious as to whether it would work.I currently have a slightly hyperactive 10 week old kitten who likes to climb up the back of, scratch, and run along the back cushions of my corner sofa when she's having a mental hour, flop onto my lap and sleep for a couple of hours, then wake up and repeat. There are lots of animal behavior control products out there, some of which are extremely overpriced despite the risk of them not even working, so the cheap price of this product was enough for me to test it, and work my way up to the more expensive things if necessary. The product contains citronella, the smell of which I already know my kitten doesn't like, as she physically recoiled away from an open can of Sprite when she took a sniff. The product arrived promptly, and I opened it up and gave my sofa a spritz all along the top of the back cushions, and the four corners that she likes to scratch and climb up. I didn't go mad, but I did notice the citrus scent was very strong, and made the whole room and outside the hallway smell like lemon. It wasn't unpleasant, but don't go dousing everything as you'd possibly choke on it! I noticed straight away that my kitten was stood stock still, just sniffing the air. She then proceeded to jump up onto the sofa, and onto the back cushion. At this point she would usually be running up and down it. What did she do? She stood there for about 5 seconds, and jumped straight back down again. It has been 24 hours since I used this product, and she hasn't once climbed up the back of the sofa or scratched it in one of her mad fits. In fact, as odd as this may sound, she hasn't actually HAD one of her mad fits. It's like the spray has completely chilled her out, of course, she may have just settled better and decided she doesn't need to go mental, but it just seems a slight coincidence that this was all on the same day.I don't for one second believe that this product will work for every single cat that it is bought for, but my suggestion would be to try it. For this price it has to be worth giving it a go!

Smells strong but not overly effective
I had to spray it over and over and over until the place sprayed was soaking wet and then the cat stayed away. Unfortunately then he went to another place instead. So I suppose it worked to some degree, but I shouldn't have to saturate the area, I could have done that with neat lemon juice in water. Personally I don't think it was the smell, but more the fact it was wet he didn't like.Edit** He has a habit of jumping into the window sill in the only room he isn't allowed to. I literally drenched the sill to put him off. He walked through it. Sat down. Then laid in it. After the first time I used it, it clearly doesn't bother him so its gone in the bin.

Good stuff!
Since bringing home a new 8 week old kitten (the fifth addition to our ever growing cat family) she took to peeing on the bean-bag!!!! Luckily it is leather so can be washed, as I did with a solution of vinegar and bicarb of soda and water, and also she was peeing on the duvet!!!! Since also buying a new rug :O I did not want this happening to this rug so bought this. So far so good. It does smell, but nothing really noticeable and nothing bad, and it has to have some smell as that is what deters the cat. I hope it continues to work ;) I have also sprayed it on the edges of the carpets as the other cats insist on scratching at this as to get in the rooms! I think they have since stopped this long habit of theirs ;) It was delivered really quick, within a day! Very good service!

Good - but strong smell initially
I've purchased both this and the Aristopet No Scratch Spray. This one definitely has a stronger smell initially - it doesn't bother me, it's more artificial smelling than the Aristopet one, which is quite pleasant, but my kids described this one as "nuclear" but I think that's just sensitive little noses!!The cats don't seem to like it, which is all that matters and I have noticed a real decline in the scratching of my wallpaper and carpets.I noticed a split in the reviews with regard to how long the product actually lasted and I'm in the "not very long" camp. I seem to need to re-apply every morning and night so the bottle won't last long but it does work and hopefully it'll break the habit before I end up having to spend a fortune on sprays!!!

It is probably the best one available
It is probably the best one available, but I haven't found one that works 100%, I now buy essential oils and make my own, if you have the time and order the components you will get a better repellent but all cats are not the same so you have to experiment with the mixes to get one that works for your cats. My mixture is made up of, Citronella, eucalyptus, orange, lemon, and coffee oils in water. May work better mixed with vinegar as this is a good disinfectant and replant but it is corrosive on white goods.Note: Never use bleach, cats like the smell of bleach. If you don't want to make your own this one is as good as you will get.

Works for me
Quite a strong smell for a few minutes but the cats can obviously still smell it after it dies down so keeps them off where needed. It also works outside to stop cats leaving "presents" in the garden.

doesn't work
strong but nice citrus smell, easy to use but didn't work for my puppy, started licking it and was back to biting.. I used odour removing spray by this brand, hard to say if it was effective either, I think this kind of products might work with some pets and with some not, buy at your own risk.. recommend the seller though, quick shipment to Cyprus

it works
My cat has no interest in the scratchy pole I got him but prefers to shred my door frames instead. He also likes to climb on the book shelves and knock things off. Also he scratches at some carpeted areas. I used this spray and he stopped immediately. I was amazed it worked so fast. It can leave an oily residue so be careful what you spray it on. I suggest a test on a small area first to make sure it does no damage. It seems to last ages too. I know when it needs spraying again as my cat goes back to the areas he used to. No problem now just a quick spray and he stays away. I highly recommend this product.
