Adapter HDMI Female to Micro HDMI Type D Male Port Adapter Suitable for Smartphones such as the Evo 4G

Was a bit sceptical about the number of 1 star votes, but since having the item I can completely understand why. The item took around a month to arrive (since is shipped from Hong Kong). Since I was away when it arrived, I didn't have the opportunity to use it. I've just opened the packaging about 10 minutes ago hoping to use the adapter straight away.I plugged in my own HDMI cable into the adapter. It was a very tight fit (not a snug fit- a VERY tight fit) and had to use pliers to pull it off. I then plugged the other end of the HDMI cable into my TV and the adapter to my laptop. I moved the cable (because it was flopping around) and the micro HDMI bit just bent. I would say I was surprised but I really wasn’t, the number of reviews saying this product is flimsy is completely justified.Buy at your own risk, you might not have the same issues as me, but this was my experience of using this adapter.(Note to self: a few quid extra won’t leave you with a 4 week wait and an adapter you can’t even use).

The micro adapter looked solid enough, and the connection was fine, but when we had finished using it and went to remove it from our kindle it broke. Some of the adapter was left in th kindle and needed pliers to get it out. Had the item for less than three hours, gutted!

Don`t buy this. Very fragile product, mine broke on second use when tip came off. Very bendy, if you use this the device you plug it in will have to be on a perfectly flat surface with support under your hdmi cable or this adaptor will bend and break. Not even worth .89p...

I asked if this was compatible to my Kindle Fire - oh Yes but actually I have wasted my money as not compatible and not fit for purpose. Anyway, no problem as I will continue to find a connection that I will require. I will pass on to my son for his daughters kindle fire which is later than mine,

The first device fell apart first time it was used, I contacted the seller and they sent a second one. That one worked well for about 12 months being used maybe once a month, not more, but a couple of days back it disintegrated leaving part still in the tablet. Fortunately that bit came out OK but I think next time I will spend more and get one that has a cable between the male and female bits as I always worried about the potential leverage on the socket by the single piece device. At 70p it is hardly worth complaining and if you want a cheap as chips unit this is it, just be aware too that it is somewhat fragile.

After a few weeks usage the small micro HDMI connector does have a small amount of play - it still works fine but does seem a bit fragile. BUT this was a very budget connector so not really that surprised.As with other comments I also found this to be very tight when first using but is OK now and the product did take a long time to arrive - about 1 month.

Can't fault it for the price. I bought it for my nexus 10 and it works a dream to use with the TV.I use plex as a media server, which had an android app that you can stream from your server to, or sync videos with while locally on wifi. Then if you are at a friends house, you can just plug this into their HDMI and watch movies.. great set up :)If you have never heard of plex, check it out. Its really easy to set up and automatically acquires meta data for your movies. You can then stream to other PCs, laptops, applications of phones and smart TVs and even access it anywhere through a web app. Pretty cool.I should also recommend getting a mini USB to USB adapter if you have such a port and are using an android device with no external SD. Allows a much bigger library to carry around with you to use with this little HDMI adapter!

Not up to the job. This is the second one of these that I have had. Pull it out of the socket in your tablet and it separates from the casing, leaving it useless.I appreciate it's not expensive. But it just is not strong enough for the job.
