I had two washable filters already, which I alternated between. One of them was a metal mesh filter and the otehr was some other material like a mat of woven plastic fibres, resembling a large flat synthetic exfoliator or something.That other filter worked, but it was a pain to clean. It'd get all waterlogged and try to fall out of its frame, and took forever to dry.So I bought this to replace the non-metal one, thinking it was the same thing as the metal one. Turns out I like this one a LOT better than the metal one I already had.It's n terms of durability, it's about the same. WAY better than the one it was meant to replace. It's got more layers/stages of filtration than my older metal one, which means it's able to clean more dust out of the air. As a nice bonus, there's no need to check each time to ensure the direction is correct; it works either way.I had a minor issue with it at first, but I contacted the seller via the email address listed on a sticker, and they rectified it quickly, with no hassle at all.It is a bit on pricey side, but after having seen the quality, it's totally worth it IMHO.

I love this filter. I would like to purchase another for cleansing day in order to switch them out. Less dust in the air which is important to me. Fits perfectly. Definitely recommend.

We just had the HVAC serviced for spring/summer, and of course the technician did his job well. He mentioned that the manufacturer of the HVAC has come out with an electrostatic air filter, but the cost was too much money for us. I checked on Amazon for the price of electrostatic air filters and found that they are much more affordable. There are several brands out there, but the reviews for the Trophy brand air filter were better than a few of the others. These electrostatic air filters do a better job of capturing dust, allergens and pet dander better than the paper type, really good for anyone who suffers from allergies. The filter is sturdy and slides in nicely without getting caught on the track. I bought two so that when it's time to wash the filter, we can put the other in without having to wait for the filter to dry.

I would recommend this filter to anyone blows out so much more air than the other filters and then when it dirty I just rinse it out.

I wanted something permanent so I didn't have to go shopping for AC/furnace filters constantly. Well, once a year I would buy 4 but they were getting tricky to find and I found that frustrating. So I found this and thought I'd give it a try. I've had it almost a year and washed it 3 times (washing is what you do instead of changing it). To be honest I really can't tell if it's working. I've noticed no difference and because it's metal you can't tell as easily as you would if it were a white filter getting dark. But for the value I'm super happy. I'm easily happy I don't have to go shopping. I'd rather just wash it. I spray it with the jet settle on the nozzle of the hose. On a sunny day it dries in a few hours.

Best air filter I have purchased. You will not have to spend all that money on air filters for your home just purchased this one. The thing is awesome.
