Vistana Polarized Fitover X-Large Sunglasses

I love these!!!I'm a woman, 5'7" with what I consider to be a normal sized face. My glasses are not oversized, but the frames are larger than many. After measuring my glasses I ordered both the large and extra large. Sent back the large --though it fit, the wrap around style of the lens meant that my glasses just touched the plastic lens and I was concerned it would scratch. I had wondered if the extra large would be too big on me but they fit perfectly. They're lightweight and very comfortable to wear. Though they are expensive, for me the comfort is worth the price.And yes, I admit, I do look like a giant bug-eyed insect alien from outer space, but hey, I'm going to just enjoy that analogy. I'm past the time of life when I have to be in style and fit in with the crowd.If you're considering these, you might want to think about where you live before choosing a lens color. When I lived in Arizona, with bright, relentless, unremitting sunshine, I chose sunglasses that were the darkest gray I could find. Now that I live in the Pacific Northwest I made a different choice -- I drive in and out of bright sunshine and deep shadow, on tree-lined mountain roads. I love the amber lens -- it relaxes my eyes in the bright light, but enhances the contrast so I can still see well in the shadows. This way I don't keep putting them off and on as the lighting changes.

At the doctor's recommendation, my wife has used Vistana Polarized Fitover (large) sunglasses for several years. They have held up very well and have given her great eye protection. She has prodded me to get Vistana for about as long as she has had hers. But for me, the fit was too snug. I have used Polaroid lenses since I can remember, but they have been the more stylish aviator style, The problem with aviator sunglasses is the Sun from the peripheral view.Doing some searching, I came upon the X-Large and decided to heed my wife's prodding.. The X-Large frames are comfortable for my average male face. Neither of us wear Rx glasses along with these sunglasses, so we can look slightly dorky together. I will use these glasses for driving and boating. Being very hard on sunglasses, I will use less expensive ones for outdoor work projects.I do like driving with Vistanas because the curved lenses provide unobstructed side vision with absolutely no distortion. The smoke gray lenses give the best natural color. Though large, they are light and comfortable. They also come with a felt lined leather grained case.

These are excellent sunglasses that fit over regular glasses. My wife got her first pair from her optician. So did I. Our next 2 pair were from Amazon. Standard price everywhere, but Amazon has the best selection.Order the largest size, even if you wear smaller rimmed glasses. They will fit better.The frames are sturdy and will last. I have knocked a lens out twice. They just snap back in place.My optician had a limited selection of sizes. I purchased a large, but found they were too snug for my glasses. No problem. My wife liked my large size, and took them for herself. Her medium was too snug.That's why I suggest Amazon for this purchase. I didn't know these glasses came in XL, until I saw the Amazon product page.

This is a 4.5 star review, The glasses are excellent. One feature which was not mentioned is that these are treated to be scratch resistant. They are copper tint, polarized and offer sharp non-glare vision. The case is useless for a man. It is well made but has no way to attach it to one"s belt or fanny pack.

These are rather dorky looking when you wear them (friends say that I look like an insect on the golf course). But the wrap around nature of the lens means that no sunlight gets to your eyes. They do not distort the field of vision (I can still read a putt with them) and only add a slight amount of additional weight to your nose.

These feel much better wearing over my prescription eyeglasses than cocoons, recognizing they are from the same manufacturer. I would buy them again.

These are the absolute best ever. Attractive and most effective from the blinding rays of the sun, especially if one has a sensitivity to the bright sunlight. Offers peripheral protection as well as they slightly wrap around to protect eyes without hampering much needed vision when driving, etc.
