Weaver Extended 1-Piece Multi-Slot Base - Winchester 70 SA 20MOA

As the title of this review states, this mount does NOT work with post '64 Winchester 70 .300 WSM rifles. The mount holes are the proper width for the front and back sets, however between the sets the mount is too short. I'm sure with some gunsmithing services I could have the mount or rifle drilled to fit, however if Weaver would measure correctly I wouldn't need to spend $30 on a mount and more money on gunsmithing...The build quality is nice, I like seeing "Made In USA" on the side. Go figure a $30 mount is made in USA, but my Burris XTR rings are "Made In China".... I'd really use it if I could, and was really hoping to mount my vortex viper I also got from Amazon, now I get to find a proper mount.Also, 5 stars to Amazon for their return process. I'm printing the labels and papers now to return the product for a refund. Another great reason to order through Amazon.

Exactly what was stated in the description. This base fits Winchester Model 70 short action rifles. It will also fit the Youth Ranger rifles, as that is what I installed it on. Happy shooting!

I have. Winchester Model 70 Coyote Light in 308. Purchased the rifle new. This base does not fit at all. Thankfully I purchased it through Amazon and was able to return it.

The base is a good part in its own but do NOT order the 20moa. I had to shim it because the machining is not accurate at all.

This was the wrong mount for a wssm action which is not hte sellers fault, it will work on the action with modification, what bothers me about the mount is the amount of movement in the mount due to oversized mount holes. If twisted there is around 12 MOA of movement on the mount, this is unexceptable

Did not fit the rife I ordered it for.
