Bee and Flower Original Sandal Wood Soap, 2.68 ounces x 12 Bars

I bought these as a gift and they were perfect. However, I knew the recipient already loved this item. The only bummer was they are packaged in a flimsy cardboard box that was destroyed by the time it arrived. I had hoped to give the entire box as a nice neat gift.

I have loved this soap for decades. It smells wonderful IMHO and is insanely affordable.Once wet it goes a little bit soft and gooey on the outside, but lasts quite awhile. Sandalwood is a caramel color that shows up on the sink and tub, but easily washes away.Sandalwood is the best of this brand, suitable for both men and women. It is clean, sweet, woody and lightly scents skin. Great perfume base note.The wrapper is so beautiful that it is like opening a present every time I need a new bar. I put the wrappers in my drawers to scent my clothes.I have started buying items in bulk, including this soap. It is less expensive that way.I can't say I would give this as a gift in bulk. The bulk box is not impressive, certainly not sturdy enough. But the individual soaps have very pretty wrappers, great for stocking stuffers or gift baskets.

This is more of a testimonial than a rating. I've been using Bee and Flower Sandalwood Soap for over forty years. A real Chinese acupuncturist told me about it in the 70's because it was time for my hair to fall out as had been done to all my male family members. We get thin on top then it goes bald. After a session for my back was over he told me through his 8 year old granddaughter as his interpreter that the soap (sandalwood only) prevents the pattern balding. I am eventually going to go bald but the soap has slowed it down. I still have a good head of hair. The old man gave me other advice I have followed also. Never wear your hair long, always use a welders cap when wearing a hard hat, brush your hair don't comb it, and never NEVER use any creams or lotions of any kind.The soap is real soap not a detergent like almost all American bar soaps are and it has great suds and fragrance. The other fragrances, Rose, Jasmine, and Ginseng are also used in my household but I use the manly Sandalwood.

I have been using this soap off and on since 8th grade (I am now 44 yrs old) and I still love it. It is unisex smell though some may say it is more of scent geared towards men. I feel that sandalwood is a unisex scent and feel it is fine and acceptable for a female to use it. Very inexpensive, not tested on animals, amazing scent, and beautifully wrapped. Great to put in drawers to make your clothes smell nice. Have not had any skin issues when using this soap and I have sensitive skin, I also haven't found the soap to make me sneeze like some do. I do not use this on my face so cannot relate any info on the effects of that. Happy to have found it here and for cheap since the small store a few blocks from house closed down.

Always a solid choice. Excellent scent, not overpowering but strong enough to stick around. Bar lasts a good time and overall this soap is excellent.

So, the floral undertone of most soaps turns into a flowery funk when combined with my body chemistry. Plus, I have very sensitive skin and many soaps make me itch.My mother used to have this soap when I was a child, and she would let me use it. I figured, if it didn't irritate my skin then, maybe it's worth a try now. I've not been disappointed. It lathers great, smells great, leaves me feeling clean, and does not make me itch. Plus, I got plenty of it for the price.THE SCENT. The sandalwood scent is very present, but it is not strong. This is not like Irish Spring or some other soap that will leave you strongly prefumed. Sandalwood is not generally very strong smelling. The smell of the soap changes over time. Right now, the soap smells like fresh, woody, spicy sandalwood. But, my mother's soaps were lighter and more powdery smelling because she had them for so many years.I do not use this soap on my face.

Been buying Bee & Flower soaps for decades now, and Sandalwood has always been my favorite.These soaps don’t create a lot of lather, but still get the job done and smell great in the process. I even keep one wrapped on my desk just for the scent!

Very economical way to purchase Sandalwood soap. These bars are a nice size (a bit smaller than most regular size bars but not too tiny), have a nice lather that rinses clean, and they do not get mushy like some other sandalwood soaps I've tried. Really great scent of sandalwood that lasts quite a while, but imo does not last to the very end of the bar. I think Chandrika sandalwood soap probably smells stronger but the bars do not last very long. I'd give this soap 5 stars if the scent was stronger right to the end of the bar. The wrapping on the soap is kind of exotic looking. Makes a nice gift, whether giving just 1 or the whole set of 12.

I used to use this soap a long time ago and it was a great deodorant soap. I love the scent sandalwood. I couldn’t find it for a long time and then my wife told me to try amazon since they had a lot of stuff that we use. So I did. Anyways the scent stays with you most of the day.

I absolutely love this soap. I’ve used the same soap my entire life, on my entire body, and have never had any skin issues. I hate how most bar soaps leave a slimy residue or smell super chemically, but this soap always leaves me feeling clean and fresh. I never had pimples in high school and attribute it to using this soap. Growing up my mom bought this from a local Asian market, but now that I’ve moved to another city I just buy packs of it on amazon.

I traveled to California as a teen and bought myself this as an inexpensive gift to me. LOved it. Finally found more. Now I have a stash and only special friends ever get gifted a bar! It is a sweet very saturated aroma of sandlewood. Not smoky like some other sandlewoods. Spicy enough, yet warm and sensual. Lingering after bath for a few hours so I do not need perfume when I bathe with this (which is all the time)! Not huge bars which for me works well since I have tiny hands. Some bars smell great but I can't hold them because of size. Think the size of small bar of dial.

I haven’t bought Bee & Flower sandalwood bar soaps in years but the last time I did, those were the same as they’d always been: Soap that was extremely fragrant of sandalwood! One little bar used to make my entire bathroom smell heavenly. The batch I just got smell nothing like they used to. In fact, they hardly have any scent whatsoever. Im wondering if I got a bad batch or is this a permanent reformulation? Disappointed.

Nirvana in a bar of soap. I love this stuff. The scent softly wakes up my senses in the shower and has a calming effect on my morning or evening brain which can sometimes be moving in an alternative direction than what I need....in other words, I really like this soap in the morning to wake me up and get me smiling as well as at night to calm my thoughts and get me ready to close my eyes. Love it and i will be buying it only instead of anything off of the shelves in stores. Love it!

The sandlewood fragrance is just right. Not a super gentle soap, but not hash either. Seems to be a good value.

so far so good. the fragrance does seem to diminish with time. but my skin is benefiting from this soap. the smell is overpowering from the first opening of package. and it smells good when using. There is no lingering of the smell as I would have liked. but since it is smoothing my skin--I'll rate it well.thank you.
