Up to now, this has been the only puzzle-type toy I've purchased for our Pit-Terrier. She's loves treats, but is also a very aggressive chewer. I needed something that was engaging, yet durable, and this fit the bill.Our dog is very bright and figured out how to get the treats, fairly quickly. I'll usually go two or three sessions with her, in about 10 minutes. When she smells a treat but can't get a cover to move out of the way, that's when she can get frustrated and try to gnaw at it or swipe it much harder. When this occurs, she really doesn't want me to help. She'll nudge my hand out of the way, so I only move things when she absolutely can't.The push-down squeaker, in the middle of the puzzle is a great thing to use to signal to your dog it's time to play this puzzle game.Taking head from some reviews I had read, I watch our dog the entire time she's playing with this, because I can see how a paw nail could get stuck in some of the slots, if unsupervised. I also recommend cleaning the toy, after each use. Wiping the openings to remove any leftover slobber or treat crumbs is easy to do.Note: Even though she's a medium-large size, I typically give my dog very small treats and I wanted a puzzle game that would accommodate that. If you are looking for one that can fit large treats, unless you break them into smaller pieces, this probably isn't for you.

Fun for my puppy to keep her busy. I use her puppy food to put in each of the hiding places. She is able to move the slot covers and find her treats. It takes her a few minutes or she will play with it and come back to it later. She was able to move the covers faster after practice. Has not broken or malfunctioned after a month.

If you have a puppy in need of mental stimulation or just to know they are not chewing on something they shouldn't be - this is perfect. My 8-month-old pitt mix loves this. What's even better about this I don't have to fill all of the treat spots to keep him interested in "finding" the treats. Dishwasher safe, easy to use and so far he only pushes the buttons around to look for snacks.

The media could not be loaded. My five year old dog immediately went to this is puzzle. She could smell the hidden treats and became focused on getting them. It kept her busy and she seemed to be having fun trying to figure out how to slide the pieces to access the treats. The pieces are designed to easily slide either vertically or horizontally. The round button in the middle squeaks which really peaks my dog’s interest. So far she has not tried to chew the puzzle. However if you have a heavy chewer I recommend closely watching your dog with this toy. This seems to be a quality toy to keep your dog’s brain engaged while they are having fun.

Too easy! There are more complex dog puzzles by same company. And though it didn’t take him long to figure it out, my dog did have fun! I’ll pick out a harder one now.

Great for training and slows down eating! I picked up a couple of these for my new puppies (Australian Shepards). They were 8 weeks old at the time and SO full of energy!! They would eat their food so fast that I was worried they were eating way too fast (they were inhaling their food in about 60 seconds in a regular bowl). I also got them both foraging bowls. This has slowed them down immensely.They absolutely love flipping through the levers looking for food. I was amazed at how fast the mastered this. I will continue to use it because they literally paw at it asking for it to be filled, but at 12 weeks they are pretty much ready for the next level already!

My puppy loved this puzzle. It keeps him entertained for quite a bit. Its very durable with puppy teeth. The only issue I found is he figured it out fairly quickly, so we'll have to upgrade soon.
