Really pleased
A Covid lockdown purchase to save me spending all my spare time watching Netflix. I'm really pleased with this guitar. I'm a total beginner just playing around with it but the sound is nice, it's nice to be able to use without an amp and I think it was good value. It is pretty big but so am I so no issues with that. I expect many years of use from this.(Update Aug-20 - I've now had this for four months and I still love it! Play it daily and am getting better, it stays in tune. Totally recommend this but do check around for best price. It cost me about C$350 but other places are selling it now for more than C$500)

Muy bueno
Mejor de lo que me esperaba, ya que comprar un instrumento sin probarlo es algo arriesgado.Un timbre redondo, es duro, y la única pega es que el cuerpo es muy muy grande.

Suited my needs.
I'm basing this star rating on the fact that this acoustic bass cost less than £65 from Amazon. The price has now increased again. If I had paid the £249 RRP, I would have sent it back.I've put a set of flat wound strings on it as I wanted a more double bass sound, and I'm happy with this. While changing the strings it became apparent that the tuning pegs hadn't been fitted very well as one of the screws would not tighten (thread was stripped). It is staying in tune OK though. Also there is so much glue visible between the bridge and the soundhole that I was initially worried that this may have been a repair. There is a passive tone and volume control and I'm happy with the "dull" sound that another reviewer mentioned, as this suits my needs. The black finish is fine and so is the fretboard, though it did absorb a lot of lemon oil. Action is reasonable, and comfortable/enjoyable to play.Overall I'm happy (price wise and sound wise) and am looking forward to gigging/folk clubbing with this bass as I can leave the acoustic strings on my Fylde hand made acoustic bass, and not worry about it getting damaged. There wasn't a cable included in the box as stated, but I've plenty so it didn't matter.Bass is described as the perfect starter bass guitar for the beginning bass player, and that sounds about right, so don't expect too much more.

I Love It (but no shoulder strap...)
I really love my acoustic-electric bass. I don't know what other people are talking about when they gave negative reviews- I was right not to listen to them. The sound is perfect and if the frets buzz it's because the string needs to be pressed down harder. There is no defect in the neck or strings or bridge. The strings do not need to be changed! They sound great. There was an allen wrench inside my bass when it came.. but that's ok.A major problem I HAVE had is that there is only one peg on the bottom to put a shoulder strap on.... the other peg is not installed. I have not fixed this and I don't know if this has happened to anyone else. The body is beautiful. I have never plugged it in to test the 'electric' part so I can't review anything about that aspect. I thought this bass was a great buy, very inexpensive for a quality instrument. I play it all the time and the acoustic sound enables me to learn and grow in a new and efficient way. You can even play chords as you would on a guitar.I was not disappointed with anything about my bass except the missing peg for the shoulder strap. I had a hard time deciding whether to buy this 4-stringed bass or the 5-string electric acoustic Dean bass but now I know I will buy the 5-string too because they are such quality guitars. Some people claimed the body was very large but it is not much larger than a normal acoustic guitar in the body. I am a small lady at 5'2" & 118 lbs but I can play my bass just fine; the bass is not oversized for anyone.

Really.. Buy it !
When i received this bass, i didnt expect much from it. The reviews were mixed but i decided to try it anyways because of the price.WOW! What a great surprise when i got it. The bass is quite large ( i mean its a bass so...) the sound is really good ! I was expecting it to sound muffled but no it sound clear! Minor crack on the brigde but ita barely noticeable..
