I got this a few days ago, here’s my review:Voice recognition:The technology used to recognize your voice is very accurate, but sometimes it happens that I’m in the phone watching videos and someone says Alexa, the echo dot responds to the command even though it was a video. Nothing important just a bit annoying.Aesthetics (I’m 23yo):This thing looks good anywhere in my house, I like the design and the fact that is a little blue ball in my desk. I’m not gay.How useful is this product?I’ve never went to do grocery and get everything I wanted to get, it was always a double trip to the supermarket… until I got the Alexa app on my phone, this thing can make shopping list so you just tell Alexa what you need to get and then, when you’re in the place you have a check list with all the products AND it gives you the option to have some discounts on selected products within the app?!?!?!?! That’s crazy, no more printed coupons yay. That is my main reason to find this product useful. Yes my life is very sad.Connectivity:Another thing about this product being useful is the fact that you can just add more and more devices into the Alexa’s ecosystem, right now I have two smart lightbulbs in my room, but you can just add smart plugs, smart light switches, smart lamps, smart security cameras, smart smart smart so much smart that I actually think that I’m dumb, plus you can use the echo dot as a Bluetooth speaker, it connects to you nearby devices and I haven’t explore the potential for that but I’m sure that you can do something if Alexa is connected to your laptop I guess. Not sure about that.Overall:This is a good product that not only provides entertainment but also provides value with the functionality that it has. You can listen to music, or play white noise if you’re having troubles to sleep, tell Alexa to tell a joke or to remind you of that meeting that you have on a Saturday morning (I hate my job).Should you buy it?Yes, yes you should.
