Adult Kick Scooter - New QuickClick Latch Folding Mechanism - Mg Model

This is just a preliminary review, after unpacking and riding the scooter around for a few days (just a few miles). It is quite a blast, reminds me so much of the days when I used to ride a skateboard around town...only add handle bars and brakes (a nice feature). I had no trouble unfolding or folding the xootr, the mechanism works marvelously. The handle bars are the perfect height (I'm 6'1") go up and down without trouble, although I may need to tighten the fastener a bit more as a downhill ride had the handle bar slipping down lower and lower. The wheels do roll very well, and the rubber has a decent grip on pavement. The brakes are gentle and well-calibrated, I do not feel a risk of the scooter front-flipping over when I apply the hand brake. I also enjoy the light weight, this can easily be carried around without trouble.I'm also a heavier rider, about 260 lbs, and I am impressed by the strong build quality of the Xootr. I did notice some flex in the deck when I shifted my weight side to side, but I'm not concerned it will break.UPDATE: I've been riding the Xootr almost daily (weather permitting) since buying it in December, and it has been a life changer. I live in a place with plenty of rail transit, but I can use the Xootr to get to/from the train station, and simply fold it for the train ride. My commuting time has been cut dramatically, and my ability to reach certain neighborhoods off the beaten path has likewise improved. I get quite a few surprised looks from people on the street, it is quite fun...Xootr for life!

So here I am, a new, happy owner of Xootr Scooter MG. The scooter is truly everything is purported to be; truly well-designed and well constructed. It is designed for commuting and cruising. I'm happy I spent time reading reviews and checking out products. For me, the large deck made sense; plenty of room for both feet. The Xootr MG has a simple, yet elegant design and look.Amazon is my go-to store for most everything. So the fine-tuned-well-oiled Amazon machine hit all the marks on prompt and dependable delivery. Thanks to the seller; I had a question after receiving my Xootr MG Kick Scooter. Steve at Xootr LLC was equally as prompt and helpful with my issue. Another comment, Xootr.LLC strikes me as a company that will be around if I should need to replace a worn out wheel or something.Summing it up, Amazon great, Xootr LLC very cool company, well made scooter, roomy deck. Most importantly, it's FUN! I'm 68 and it's amazing how many years I thought about buying a good adult kick scooter. UPS delivered it today and I only stopped cruising around to write this review.

The media could not be loaded.  **UPDATE**I took my XOOTR Scooter MG to my local park and experienced extreme vibration when riding on the asphalt trail. Smooth surfaces like the tennis court or the road for vehicles had the best ride. So in conclusion, if the terrain you're going to be riding on isn't smooth you'll be in for a rough ride.________________________________________Trying to find a scooter for my 6' 1" 280lb self was hard until I came across the XOOTR scooter. Most adult scooters have a 220lb or less weight limit while the XOOTR scooter supports up to 800lbs! The deck to stand on is long enough and wide enough to fit both feet. My 5yr old daughter and I are able to ride comfortably together which is making some great quality time memories. The front handlebar brake and rear fender foot brake function great. It has a low profile, so using caution while leaning into turns is a must to prevent scraping the under side. One step/kick and this scooter is scooting with ease which may be from the type of bearings that are used. So far I am very pleased with my new fitness family fun accessory.

UPDATE!!!!!! 10/17/17AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THE BRAKE LEVER MALFUCTIONED. EVERYTIME I PRESSED THE LEVER THE BRAKE PAD WOULDNT DISENGAGE. I CALLED THE SELLER AND REQUESTED A REFUND. A REFUND WAS APPROVED. WHAT I WASNT TOLD WAS THAT I WAS STUCK WITH PAYING FOR THE SHIPPING. SO I PAID 61$ TO SHIP BACK AN ITEM THAT MALFUNCTIONED. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCOOTER OR SHOULD I SAY THE SELLER.I was looking for a scooter to join my son. I bought myself a globber one k 180 (Because that's all my local skate shop had). After a few weeks the Mrs saw how much fun we where having and decided she wanted to join us. I did some homework and after i read dozen of reviews i decided to get her a Xootr. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The moment I got it the first thing I did was take it for a spin. To be honest I wasn't very impressed . First, the handle bars are too narrow. It makes it harder to control. I'm an avid mountain biker so I can appreciate smaller bars but I'm not expecting to ride through low hanging branches. Second the platform is to low. I rode it on the side walk and it's way to easy to bottomout. There were a few time i had to jump off because I had bottomed out and the scooter came to an abrupt stop. After comparing it to the globber the globber was just as good and in some ways better. The globber is also 100$ cheaper. So in conclusion it's a nice scooter but no way worth the 269$. There are too many really well made (cheaper) alternatives. The wider platform is nice. Update= globber has a kickstand which is nice. the globber brake lever is better made and catches with less force.

After having the scooter for just over 6 months and riding it about 1 mile everyday I have been very happy with it. This is my wife’s account but I am 6ft 2in 290lbs and this seemed to be the only thing rated to hold me. The scooter rides well and is easy to fold and carry. I did actually have an issue where the frame had ended up getting a crack in it. The scooter was fine and I was still riding it I had just noticed the crack when I was cleaning it. I contacted xootr directly and they took care of the issue. They sent me a shipping label and had a new frame put on and in less than 2 weeks its back. It made me realize how much I can’t live without the scooter because these two weeks were terrible not being able to get around the city with ease. Fantastic customer service and well worth the price of the scooter for the quality of the product and the company.
