This grinder is so unique and I love it. I have bright copper salt and pepper mills and set this right by them with it's antique copper which makes a nice contrast that still matches. I put dried garlic and onion in the grinder and use it for cooking or adding a little extra flavor at the dinner table.While the grinder is perfect aesthetically, there are a couple design issues I did not expect, hence the 4 stars.1. The grinder does not have holes in the bottom to grind directly onto or into a dish as does a traditional salt or pepper mill. It is solid on the bottom so you have to grind all you put into it and then pour back out through the hole you filled it with. Not anywhere near as convenient as I thought it would be but still does the job.2. The hole that you fill and pour from is a little tricky to get to and it makes the process of filling the grinder difficult to do neatly. I haven't come up with a great method yet.Despite these two issues, I still am using the grinder and I really like the look. Do also keep in mind that it is pretty small.Update: I notice now that the bottom is removable. So you still have just the little opening to fill it but then once it is ground, you pull the bottom off and can pour or scoop the ground spices from there. This is a lot more convenient than I had originally thought it was. Still not a "shaker" type bottom which I'd prefer but I'm moving to 5 stars now since it's easier than I thought.Shipping was much faster than estimated so I was pleasantly surprised to receive a lot sooner than I expected!

It's so beautiful, but it just doesn't work. It worked for a couple weeks but now I can't get it to work anymore. It was REALLY hard to grind the salt in the first place, but now it's impossible to use. Even my husband who's very strong can't do it. It just won't grind.

Very nice grinder, small, but works very well. I ordered the antique copper and it looks great! The seller is a pleasure to work with. This grinder comes from Turkey and there were issues with the delivery the first time but the seller sent me another one very quickly. Overall, good experience with this and I love the grinder!
