Valsugana Polenta - 13.2 Ounces

My mother first introduced me to this brand of polenta. I was able to buy it at one local supermarket until it disappeared about 2 years ago. Glad to have found it on Amazon. This polenta is touted as instant on the box, but in reality it takes 5 or 6 minutes to prepare depending on how thick you like your polenta. Still, that beats the 20 or 30 minutes it would take for ordinary cornmeal to cook. This is a pretty good polenta product - it doesn’t have that somewhat bitter taste that regular cornmeal sometimes has. This meal is milled to a much finer texture than regular cornmeal so naturally cooks faster. I serve it with my homemade marinara sauce with lots of fresh grated Parmesan cheese and a tossed salad on the side just as it was served at home when I was a kid on meatless Fridays. Italian comfort food. Try it, I think you’ll like it!

I've been using Valsugana Polenta for many years. Polenta is one of our favorite foods, easy to prepare, and it takes on whatever flavor you incorporate into your recipe from savory to sweet. This product is one of the best polenta's I have ever used.

Ordered this by mistake as I prefer this brand of Polenta when it's in "grain" form and you cook it up like grits.

This is the 1st instant we have found that cooks quickly and tastes good.We have shared it with friends and family and they all agree.

Next to a fine dining restaurant (that knows what they're doing), this is the best polenta I've ever had. Top with a sauté of mushrooms in butter, garlic and red wine or pot roast gravy. Yumm yumm!!
