Donga Inkjet Safe Jet Stick Solid Gel Highlighter

I bought these highlighter for over 3 months now. I used it for my bible study. It soft ( but not breakable or anything) , smooth and easy to highlight without using any force or effort. The colors are beautiful. At first I thought the color doesn't show as strong as I want it to be. So I go over the area I want twice. But few days later I happened to read some verses that I highlighted before. The colors were very strong( saturated)Which mean I shouldn't go over twice.When you go over it once. It might seem light. Leave it. Trust me. The color get saturated over time( but still doesn't bleed through the other side, Thank God.)I was very impressed with that. I thought I already wrote a review for this product, so I can update and give it the reward it deserved . But it turned out I haven't.So I'm glad to inform you that the product is very good. I carry it will me to study all the time. The color looks great. Easy to use , on the plus side is the Price. I usually go for expensive stuff. I bought this because they have the colors that I like.Beside I bought some more expensive from staedtler . They was ok, not bad. But wasn't soft and smooth like this one. And the colors are lighter. I had to go over a line twice or more to get the color that I wanted.If I have one complain. Some of the pen's cap seem getting lose. Which mean they don't close completely. I guess there was some wax from the pen got in the cap. But I just close it and put in the box that they provided. So no problem for me. Nor it dry out the gel. So still good.

My second time repurchasing this product. I LOVE these gel highlighters.I like to highlight when I read but always hated when ink highlighters would bleed through the pages so I switched to these.After going through a pack and a half of these, here's what I noticed:1. This is made of some colored WAXY substance.2. It won't work *that well* on glossy paper.3. It will leave some shavings when you highlight.4. These shavings will stick to the other page face when you close your book and/or fall off the page onto the floor.5. Because it waxy, the tip is constantly changing and can sometimes go flat which can lead to inaccurate highlighting (usually I end up highlighting above the text).6. Because it is a waxy substance, it doesn't absorb into the page like ink would. If you touch it after highlighting, it will get on your hands.7. When you get close to the VERRRRYYY end of the highlighter, the gel stick just plops out so you can't really use the small bit thats left.Even with these nuisance, I still prefer these over any ink highlighters( I REALLY don't like bleedthrough!!!!)Some tips I picked up:1. When I see the crumbs forming, I just press down on it hard with my highlighter to embed it into the page so it won't fall off.2. I keep my gel pointy by changing which sides I use to highlight. You have to shape the point or else it goes flat which leads to inaccurate highlighting.

Bible highlighting is the PRIMARY reason I needed them. I will buy again. Good chance i'll be repeating what others have said but with one difference I am holding firm to disputing the claim that there is no bleed through for bible pages. I'll clarify that I am talking about the *ONION SKIN* bible high quality thin pages. It does bleed though far fainter than any other highlighter and I have tried quite a few of those recommended for bibles. It bleeds in a way that even affects if you highlight the opposite side with a different colour. So if I highlight a page with blue and turn over and do a verse on the side with yellow (I colour code verses) I get a light green instead. But still the best one yet so I'd still recommend. Also is a nice balance - not too neon bright but not so pale either. I will post pics.I admit I wish there was a way to get a more defined highlight but tricky due to the broad tips. But I think to deduct all of 3 points as others have it a bit unfair. If I am careful I get it right but it just takes more care than you'd desire. Folks claim you can still write over it - not so easy folks. Pencils definitely, pens like the micron ones recommended for bible - NOPE. I tried and it took some doing to get the pens to ink the paper again.Update Aug 17, 2015So after a few weeks well of use - I wanted to add that some of the highlighters are more user friendly though in the same pack. The "orange" tends to leave a bits of "globs" of the gel back on the page so whenever I use it I have to place a sheet of paper over it before closing the bible or I will find some of those bits on the other sheet afterwards. Not good but I find it tends to happen mostly with the orange and to a lesser extent with the red (which I applies differently from the rest and I quite like it). Still would buy again but thought I'd let you know.

The paper I use to study my homework tends to have the ink bleed once highlighted. I researched a way that I can highlight and not have ink get on my highlighter or make the words unreadable.I'm happy with my purchase thank you so much!
