The profile is so low that I couldn't find a spot on my desk to place this without getting glare in my eyes. But I wanted an all-chrome desklamp I could use in multiple ways, so the clamp feature was important. I finally clamped it to the window next to my desk, directly over my head, and voila! A great overhead light solution that doesn't shine in my eyes and distributes light evenly across my desk.

Good flexibility, good range of brightness, 3 color temps (incandescent and neutral, the cool is a bit too blue), solid clamp. Power button is lit so easy to spot in dark. A+ doo-dad.

I really like that this light has different brightness settings.

Because it is a gooseneck, with no joints, springs, or other gadgets, it takes up very little space.The clamp is the strongest I have ever seen. Bear in mind, that you need a fairly thin desktop to use it. I doubt that it would open more than about an inch.It has 20 levels of brightness and three warm-to-cool light settings. And it is bright! Since it plugs directly into a USB port, you don't tie up a wall outlet with an AC adapter. The inline brightness-warmth controller has four buttons--easily understood--and the ON-OFF button is always lit so you can find it easily.

I’m not going to lie, i expected less than what it is worth. I thought i was going to find something negative about it but i didn’t. I thought i was going to have issues with it staying in place. I decided to buy it anyways because of the color, it caught my attention. I’m glad i bought it. It’s sturdy, the lighting is perfect for me, it’s long enough for me. My kitchen's has no windows and above the sink is not bright. I clip this lamp onto the ledge above sink and that entire area is bright. Love the dimming features. Portable, you can unclip it and use for other things. It exceeded my expectations. I am going to buy another one to clip on the mirror of my vanity. Getting a lot of use for 20 bucks. I researched the reviews prior to purchase. BC it is USB, you have more options to also use it as a large extra bright flashlight around your home, garage and inside your car.

Love the lamp, provides just the right amount amount of light needed for reading etc. in my home office.The downside is the buttons on the switch are hard to use, you have to really press down hard to change the brightness +/- and turning it on/off; that's my reason for giving it 4-stars otherwise it's great and a great price.

This is my second purchase of this light. I originally bought one for a dark work desk but my location at work changed to a more brightly lit room and I no longer needed the extra light so I brought it home for my work desk. I have been looking around for more lighting to use at home home art studio and decided to try another of these in the room. The cord is long enough to reach the room’s outlets. Only issue I didn’t consider is my printmaking table is a walmart foldup special - the white plastic one - and it’s almost too thick for the light to be clamped to. If there was another option for a thicker clamp, I’d buy a few more for my other studio work spaces as I like the arm flexibility but rigid enough to hold in place. The bright white light is great for the art work details but I can change the color to dim it for sketching phases. Note, my photos include an overhead light on as well. The two lights are not the only sources on in the room during the photographing.

i liked that i could tweak the warmth + intensity of the light. the goose neck is quite strong though i wish i could have rotated it at the base a little more
