Baybean ( Canavalia Rosea ) (syn Canavalia maritima)Bay Bean is a vine found in tropical and subtropical beach dunes throughout Mexico and parts of South America. Said to be held in reverence by the Mazatec Indians of Mexico, and was possibly used in ritual. It is not understood whether the psychoactive properties were utilized for shamanic work by natives. Baybean is a fairly little known ethnobotanical but will surely become well-known very soon.
