Much Better Than Expected
Much better than I expected. Came well packaged in two separate boxes. No broken or blemished pieces. Assembly instructions are a diagram only, but not difficult to understand if you take a few minutes to look closely at the drawings. It was never mentioned anywhere in the reviews etc, but I did use Wood Glue on all the joints, seams and wooden dowel pin connectors, although did not use clamps or anything. I did the complete assembly myself and it was not particularly difficult if you take your time. I did each side section independently first and let them set overnight for the glue to set. Then put those two half sections together and attached the top (all glued), and let that set overnight for the glue to set. Then I installed the glass and doors the next day. The result is a very stable, solid unit with no flex or shift.Empty with no shelves installed, just opening the doors is enough for it to tip over forward. With the weight of the shelves installed and doors open, it will not tip on it's own. Loaded with DVD's it tips even less. I sat 8 large 1-gal bottles of drinking water on the currently unused bottom shelf (covered them with a piece of black fabric) which gave it enough ballast weight to make it pretty stable for normal use. Once I am certain where I want this piece to go, I will probably fasten it to the wall in case of earthquake (I'm in CA).The quality is great. The doors align and open/close nicely. Attaching a little felt pad inside the doors gives it a quiet thump when it closes. The tighter wood grid pattern over the glass gives a nice texture appearance and conceals the DVD's inside just enough so it looks tasteful. The walnut color, even with the oak wood grain, looks pretty good and is a close enough match to my other living room furniture which is higher end Spanish style wood (Castle Bromwich, Theodore Alexander, etc). For the price ($358 Amazon) I definitely recommend this DVD media storage cabinet.

Great Functionality!
I order this storage cabinet based off the pictures alone which was difficult for me. I was worried about poor quality materials, construction, and appearance. First of all this is not solid hardwood construction which is the reason I docked a star. The cabinets parts are made using standard grade and premium grade MDF , the shelves side walls and back being low grade while the doors are made of better quality. All of this is the veneered in real oak veneer and stained to a walnut color. The veneer gives the piece a beautiful look, and is expertly applied. The entire piece comes flat packed in two large boxes. There was no damage whatsoever and no missing parts. If you've ever assembled RTA furniture you'll be able to do this. Absolutely everything is predrilled and if you can use a philips screwdriver you can put this together. Because of the materials though I wouldn't use a powered drill for risk of overdriving the screws and stripping them out. It took me about three hours alone, but I'm very happy with it. I have a pretty large movie collection and it took almost the entire cabinet to store them. The cabinet holds 10 2' shelves set at the right height for DVD's with 4 shelves set at the right height for CD's. Blu-Ray's are a little shorter so you could probably get another two shelves in if you don't have DVD's in your collection. Once fully loaded the unit could be top heavy and tip. The manufacturer includes three picture hanging brackets that they intend you to use to to secure it flat against the wall. That of course only works if your home doesn't have baseboards. I replaced the brackets with a bit of flexible plastic strapping from Home Depot used to hang pipes. Screwed to the cabinet and wall this did the job and is very secure. The cabinet is really nice, and offers a lot of storage without taking up a huge presence in the room. I'm definitely pleased with the product even though it isn't solid wood.

Decent piece. Not the quality level I was expecting - one piece cracked during assembly.

Not just a storage cabinet, but nice piece of furniture
My rating applies to all 3 sizes of this cabinet that I purchased (single, double, triple). After moving, my rec room was a wreck, filled with dozens of boxes of DVDs and CDs. The Leslie Dame cabinets proved to be the perfect solution. They were easy to put together, although it's best to have two people for the triple and double cabinets. I followed the diagram, took my time, and assembled the smallest cabinet first. After that, the larger ones were fairly easy. The cabinets are very sturdy and solid, as well as attractive. My rec room media is now completely organized and it's easy to find what I want in the cabinets.

Nicer than expected.
This was much nicer than I expected as it matches my antique and Ethan Allen furniture well. Shelves adjust so CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and even paperback books can all be stored in it.It needs assembling and was daunting at first. Using the picture diagrams that we included, and the help of another person, it went together easily. I do not think it could be assembled by one person due to its' size.Overall I was very pleased as it looks more expensive than what I paid.
