Mediocre Sanding on soft Aluminum refinishing project
Very underwhelming. Seemed to be much less effective than same grit of other types, e.g. sponge or regular sheets. Increasing RPM helps, but still not very impressive. It also doesn’t really do what it looks like would be it’s strong suite, i.e. working into corners was not very effective and completely uneven if more pressure was applied. I’ll pass on this in the future.

Good product for those oddly shapped pieces.
Ordered for refinishing a mahogany door that has panels with recessed channels. This made the sanding and cleaning of the door much faster and easier.

Great Concept! Needs a little work . . .
This is a great product, conceptually, but still has a way to go. I bought two grits . . . the extra coarse (about 80 grit), and the fine grit (about 180?) . . . the sanding balls work as described, but the end result is more like a polishing ball than a sanding ball. They need to be more aggressive. These balls would be the perfect solution for sanding concave areas if they were more aggressive. I think the Scotch Brite company is really on to something! Please let me know if you come up with a sanding ball in coarser grits . . . like 30 - 60 grit. Tim
