STAUBCast Iron Dutch Oven 4-qt Round Cocotte with Glass Lid, Made in France, Serves 3-4, Cherry

The finish (blue) is very attractive and visually striking in the light, but more importantly it is a well designed piece of equipment that functions exactly as it should. It excels at everything I demand of it and have no further wishes or regrets.

I just received this enameled cast iron pot. It is small but not unusually small or too small, unless you need a very large pot.I always read the negative reviews before ordering anything and some are always just wrong if you know anything about the item being reviewed, but I pay attention to recurrent themes in these 1-star reviews. For this pot the recurrent themes were two. The first was that the pot is much smaller than expected, and that is just wrong. It isn’t that small and anyone buying this pot from Amazon should have a very good idea of the actual size by just doing a cursory review of the product description, or by reaffirming g other customers’ negative reviews.The second recurring complaint was that the pot arrived damaged, showing noticeable chips in the enamel coating, especially around the top rim of the pot. But, my pot arrived in close-enough-to-perfect condition. Maybe other customers’ pots were damaged in shipping but the pot is well packaged, so that would require very rough handing.The pot looks to be very durable and it looks to be easily cleaned, and, I would be truly shocked to learn that this pot is not a genuine French-made pot.It is beautiful and it will one day be passed down to one of my children and then eventually to one of my grand and great-grand children until someone eventually so mistreats it that it is no longer beautiful. Such is the life of heirloom kitchen cookeare.

I recently made the decision to upgrade my kitchen gear with a Staub Cast Iron Dutch Oven and I'm satisfied with my purchase. I was hoping to find a replacement for my old crockpot and this oven has surpassed my expectations. Although it's quite heavy, it cooks meals that are absolutely delicious. I've been using it in my air fryer/multi cook oven on the slow cooker setting and it's been working like a charm. Cleans up without any issues, no rust or marks. I did need to season it to get the shine. The glass lid is solid (heavy glass). Perfect size for 2-3 people. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new cooking appliance.

Good first impression! will see how long it will last!?UPDATE!After following washing directions with soapy water, pre seasoning the the Dutch Oven with vegetable oil at low heat for 5 minutes, and then let it cool down, as directed by the Staub Little Book; the following day I noticed a tiny hole inside the wall of the Dutch Oven; as shown on the images. I am very disappointed to say the least. I want a replacement or my full money back.UPDATE: 7/26/2021After returning and having a full refund by Amazon of the damaged item; I've decided to give it another try, and re-order same item delivered and fulfilled by Amazon. As always Amazon return and refund policies always delivers. So far I am very satisfied with the condition of the re-orderd Staub Cocotte. I may order more to this collection in the future. Thank you Amazon for restoring my satisfaction and confidence buying experience. The Dutch oven doesn't only look beautiful but is very well made. Well worth the expense.

I have a collection of STAUB, and this one Cooks with the glass lid just as they do. Great on the stove top to the oven and to the serving table. Perfect stew, great soup, and it turned out beautiful no knead breads!This is a great size for Bread. Figured this was small but cooks more things than you would think, infinite possibilities. One of the nicest things is it very manageable. Fun and safe on glass stove top. I would highly recommend this to everyone. And if you have STAUB you need this to go with your collection. Fun cooking vessel.

I purchased a turquoise dutch oven with cast iron lid. My biggest worry was receiving a damaged or imperfect item, but I’m absolutely satisfied by the condition. This purchase was well-justified as I gave a well-used, but in great condition, black 4 qt. Staub to my new son-in-law. To my joy, he cooks and bakes unlike my daughter.

I was super excited to get this dutch oven at a great price. It just delivered and the pot looks like it was used already!! There is what looks like stains from food that wasn’t cleaned out!! And now of course there are no more available at the price I bought for!! Now they’re all double the price!! Super pissed!!!

Beautiful pot. Unfortunately, there is a chip on the handle as shown in the photo. I am disappointed and will be returning the product. It's such a waste of time having to deal with returning products that sellers are obviously aware of. So unacceptable!
