TheraNeem Pet Shampoo with Neem | 1/2 Gallon

Our elderly golden retriever began experiencing a severe rash all over her abdomen about three weeks ago.The vet prescribed an allergy medication which relieved the symptoms.The symptoms came roaring back 2-3 days after we ran out of allergy medication, and the rash began spreading. The dog was losing fur in huge clumps. The rash was traveling up and down her legs and up her neck. It was irritating her ears and paws.We applied a total of 4 bottles of Curaseb, an anti-yeast/fungal/bacterial anti-itch spray. It was pretty good, in that it could reduce the rash and did stop the itching. The problem was that the rash was always ahead of us, showing up in places we hadn't sprayed. It was climbing from her legs to the sides of her body. Many areas were better, but new areas were infected. Fur was still falling like rain.This shampoo arrived and I was eager to try it. Doggo was delighted, because she loves her baths. This is pretty expensive stuff, so I put it in a spray bottle to minimize waste. I wet the dog with water and sprayed her everywhere with this shampoo. I waited the full five minutes before rinsing it off. She seemed very, very calm and happy. Unlike most medicated shampoos, this one didn't tingle or irritate her skin, and it didn't offend her nose.She has remained relaxed and happy for a full day now, with no scratching. The rash looks a lot better.I will give you an update in a few days. So far, this is an enormous game-changer. She seems great. We've been washing everything she lays on, hoping to kill whatever has attacked her. We have always done everything in our power to keep her healthy. If this shampoo turns out to be the solution to her skin problems, then we will use it for the rest of her life.

We started out originally with the small bottle, and absolutely love this product so we went for the big value bottle. We have to bathe our dog every two weeks (at least during summer we did because she was outside getting hot so much and tends to get smelly). She's an older gal who we've put on really good food and probiotics, but so far we and our vet can't figure out why she gets this particular smell.When we got her, she was also having some problems with foot odor too. When we bathe her, we fill an inch or two of warm water in the bathtub and dissolve a little shampoo in it as a foot soak while she gets shampooed, and it seems to have made a big dent in how her feet smell.An unexpected but very welcome result of this shampoo is that it smells absolutely wonderful, and the smell stays in our dog's fur for about a week after. It makes her fur incredibly soft and shiny, too. She has rather short, coarse fur, and it's remarkable how much this shampoo has changed her coat for the better.I will agree with others who have said that the product doesn't lather up super high, but keep in mind that lather is often created by harsh chemicals put there to make you "feel" like a product is working. It still works just as well with low lather, and is better for your dog's skin and fur. I would highly recommend!

I first tried the 12 ounce bottle to see if I liked this and I did! The 64 ounce bottle is less than half the price per ounce! The price may vary but I paid $32.31 or about 50 cents an ounce. The 12 ounce bottle is currently $10.78 which is 90 cents an ounce! I saved my smaller bottle and refilled it from this huge one so it would be easier to use.My dog has a lot of long hair and it tangles and matts up when he scratches and bites himself. I've tried a LOT of different shampoos but the itching just got worse and worse until this one! He doesn't have fleas or any other parasites, but he's apparently allergic to something. Nothing else I've tried has given him as much relief. I am so happy to see my sweet little dog relaxing instead of constantly itching!TheraNeem is thinner than most and purposely low suds to ensure it penetrates a dog's coat and gets down to his skin. It has a nice clean herbal natural fragrance. It's all organic and safe for dogs and cats. It contains no harsh chemicals, soaps, or synthetic waxy thickeners. WOW!! Our groomer used it to bathe my daughter’s Lab last Wednesday. It’s now the next Monday and she is still so soft and clean and smells great!!! Amazing shampoo! A bit pricey, but well worth it!! I’m going to use it on my 2 dogs!! No sticky residue left behind.UPDATE: talked to the groomer and she said it didn’t suds up much, but did an excellent job of cleansing and removing shedding fur. Left the fur soft and fluffy without residue.

I’ve been using this on my three Pomeranians for years! The oldest one had an allergic reaction to something, and it became an itch cycle. The younger dogs have a tendency for dry skin (especially during Santa Ana weather), and Theraneem REALLY works so well keeping them UN-itchy, and happy!

The only shampoo I’ll use on my Bernese Mountain Dog. He is bathed every 2 weeks as he is a therapy dog. This shampoo leaves him soft and shiny. Only gave 4 stars due to leakage. But it’s a five star product.Unfortunately this shipment arrived with a wet box from leakage and with quite a bit of loss although looks as if it was adequately wrapped and packed. May be a USPS issue.

Excellent for calming irritated, itchy skin, eliminating fleas and ticks. There isn't a great deal of lather, but the shampoo penetrates your dog's coat. The scent isn't for our preferences but for your dog's benefit. I love this shampoo, do not use any commercial flea and tick prevention and never have a problem with insects on my dogs.I recommend this shampoo to anyone who wants to use a natural, non-chemical approach for skin irritations and tick and flea prevention all year.
