Fabulous
I have trained and shown dogs for years...Muzzles are a training tool and not a cure all for barking, biting or habits like poop eaters! You must make time to get your dog to accept this as theirs and work at curbing the behavior thats upsetting your life.I have several Miniture Pinscher and one who is insecure/fearful. When people enter my family room (his space) he barks, charges and tries to nip. Fear is one of the hardest behaviors to curb. If a dog is scared it may run, hide, quiver, charge, bark and even bite. When a fear based dog barks or bites at people or objects its trying to drive them away! Proper socialization starts early but some behaviors remain and working thru it consistently is important to protect others and your family. Tools are used in assisting unwanted behavior. This is by the best muzzle I have seen or tried for small dogs. Most companies use large strapping which doesn't fit small dogs well. This type of muzzle pushes against the dogs eyes but the fur cushions both the eyes and top of the nose. I trim the fur so my dog can see better. Don't just slap this on! Please introduce your dog to the muzzle and allow them to accept it as THEIRS...like a bed or toy. Show the dog the muzzle, treat, praise "good boy or girl" , rub it on their body. Get out the treats...Hold the treat between your finger and place inside the muzzle and hold up to your dog. Let them take the treat...praise..repeat. It may take a few days of repeating this method. Once the dog allows the muzzle to be placed on...then adjust the buckle snuggly. Remove, treat, praise and a little play time or walk! Place the muzzle on for a short periods while you are in the area to observe and let them adjust. Always praise when you put the muzzle on and praise/treat the removed. This way your dog associate good things happening...like treats, walks or playtime. If your issue is associate with other people then enlist the aide of friends or family to repeat the event that trigger the fear and while using the muzzle to protect everyone. Also tell your dog no when they bark while barking. If you are having problem you can't handle then please consult a trainer, instead of dumping them at the shelter...which just passes on the problem! They can drink water with this muzzle but don't feed with the muzzle, as they don't have full use of their jaw.** A few training tips for those of you wishing more info. A muzzle can act like a Thunder shirt (designed to calm anxious dogs). The muzzle curbs a dogs flight/fright instinct thus lowering their energy put into barking or biting. Unknown guests are my dogs trigger so prior to them coming to my home...I have them text me and place on my dogs muzzle. He actually get very relaxed and goes into his day kennel. When the guests arrive I actually bring my dog into the area we are sitting, so he can listen and observe us. The more he meets and hears the same people, the less fear he as about them,. This is a process and the fear/aggression is part of his nature which I actively work on daily.

Bigger than I expected
Since the picture shows the extra small muzzle on a papillon, I had assumed this would be a small, snug fit, my dog (a papillon), but it was larger than I expected. It works but my dog still tries to bite.

Helps for training my dog to get groomed
I have a little Havanese puppy (1yr old, xs) so she needs to be brushed and groomed regularly, or else she gets these huge mats that turn into sores- which used to be such a headache because she hates it so much and would bite me as a reflex. It was a long battle to get her brushed, and we'd both be upset and exhausted afterwards. Now I just slip this thing on, and can get her brushed in ten minutes or less, and though she's not fond of it, she's learned to accept the muzzle and her overall demeanor is better. I still use it at home most of the time, but her groomer told me recently that she doesn't even try to bite her anymore without the muzzle on, so that's a huge relief. The only thing to be wary of is that if I leave her unattended, she can get the muzzle off really fast, and the fastener can pull at her fur behind her head and hurt her if I'm not careful when putting it on. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!

Nothing like the picture or description
This item was not even close to the description. It was very long, so it had a cone that went far past my poor chihuahua's snout. So no safe eating or drinking. And it states there is a fleecy liner that does not exist. it is all poly/vinyl type material. I hope to find something that looks shorter and fuzzy like the picture.

Great Fit. Soft lining. It's just fantastic!! Does a great job.
This is THE BEST muzzle. I hated to buy one for my miniature poodle but she is so very aggressive towards my grandson so when the muzzle came today we put it right on her. It was easy to fit to her face, has a soft lining inside where they all are a bit rough against the skin, and right away my grandson came to hug his grandpa goodbye and the poodle tried to attack him. For the first time since we rescued the poodle from a cage at a humane society, about a year ago, he did not worry about her biting him. She can't!! Awesome. After trying numerous muzzles we have the perfect one. THANKS TO AMAZON FOR A WONDERFUL POLICY OF ALLOWING YOU TO BUY, TRY THE MUZZLES ON, THEN RETURN IF THEY DO NOT WORK FOR YOUR APPLICATION. I would recommend this muzzle to anyone with a small dog who needs to muzzle the dog, always mindful NOT to leave it on for long periods at a time. Thanks.
