No good for use: Way too short to fit, poor quality, really dim
Thanks for the opportunity to review these, I was intrigued by the fact that they're rechargeable. That, I'm afraid, is their only saving grace; I cannot even get these on a bare arm let alone if wearing anything with a sleeve (see photos), the light is way too dim to be useful and to be frank the overall quality looks like these have been thrown together in a hobbyist's shed.In the photos I added you can see the light level compared to another I use. The green one in the photo uses button-cell batteries, is vastly more visible even in low ambient lighting where these are not, and they have an elastic strap long enough to actually be able to wear them. These things are way too short to fit and also don't even have any elastic in them! No, these are not useable for the reasons above.

Very effective and easy to use.
I like these efficient little products and they could be a life saver one day. Each armband has a yellow reflective strip which is also lit up by a strong yellow LED. In daylight they don't seem very bright, but as soon as it's dark they can be seen from a good distance, especially if flashing. Three lighting modes (rapid flash, slow flash, constant) are just selected by repeatedly pressing the hidden button on the buckle. A fourth press turns them off.The built-in battery is rechargeable, using a USB cable that connects to most phone chargers (USB type A). The recharging socket (a common USB micro-B) is on the side of the buckle and is protected from rain by a small rubber bung. Each armband is supplied with its own short USB cable to make recharging quick and convenient.Strapping them over the arm is easy as a Velcro strap goes through the buckle and sticks to itself firmly. The diameter of each strap is about 32cm so it fits my upper arm as well as my ankle. It would fit a small dog's neck too.I tested the life of the battery by leaving one on, in slow flash mode, and it lasted for over 2.5 hours. Not bad. At just under £5 each I think these are good value and well worth having as an extra safety device if going out at night down dark roads.

Better than reflective bands
Where I live there are few streetlights, and being in a rural area without many footpaths, you need something to protect you from Mrs Fourwheeldrive and her neighbours son, 'Hatchback Boy'. Something to make you stand out a little in the dark, when they seem hellbent in knocking you into the bushes. A bit of road safety for whenever you are taking little 'Max and Mollie' for their evening 'empty'.Is this you? Well I'm glad you dropped in... for these armbands are like garlic to a vampire, whenever you want to repel a speeding motorist (or a cyclist for that matter).I am not sure they will be that robust over time, as to charge you have to extract the power source from its little sleeve and the wiring is... well... not very durable-looking in my opinion. That said, the maker says they should last over 3 hours on a charge, so if I am really careful... well maybe.I guess that you could just wrap some reflective strips around your arm, but somehow I think the fact that these can, if desired, flash on and off gives the impression, at least, that you are a little safer. There are three settings, flashing quickly, or flashing slowly, as well as staying permanently lit, so that's quite cool.Personally, I would find it a drag to keep putting them on and off, but I have discovered a perfect solution. My quilted coat, the one with possibly an unfortunate rabbit wrapped around the hood (I have never been entirely sure), is puffy enough to keep them in place, even when hung up on a peg. Hence I just slip my arms in the sleeves and they are ready to go!Are they worth a tenner? Well let me see, that's a fiver for each arm... I think on balance that is fair enough... just!

Needs more adjutment.
This pair of rechargeable illuminated running bands are fairly well made. I've had some similar ones that fell apart after a few uses, but these seem to be much sturdier. Being rechargeable means less pulling and messing about changing batteries. The button hidden under one end of the strap if a little lumpy and not quite easy to operate with gloves, but functional. The backing is reflective and illuminates in steady or blinking modes. They are undoubtable essential for those 'ninja' runners and cyclists that dress in black and run in the road at night. You'll be seen from a fair distance with these, which is of benefit to everyone.I've knocked a couple of stars off for two reasons though. The illuminated part is only around half of the band so you'd need to make sure it's rotated correctly to be seen from front, back and side. The other issue is that they are only 31cm long. The adjustment means you can't use them on your wrist as they are too big, but again there's no way anyone with half-decent biceps/triceps can fit them further up their arm. They fit on my ankles but again, not tight enough. If there was a better way to adjust the diameter they would have gone up to 4 or 5 stars.
