LL TRADER for iPhone 7/7 Plus/8/8 Plus Home Button Assembly, Version 5.0 Home Button Replacement with Flex Cable + Tools (Rose Gold)

I have written to the seller for advice but currently fitted (and refitted) and performed a forced reset) but the button does absolutely nothing! Hopefully the seller can advise something to make it work but no function at the moment!BIG advice, when replacing screen, use a hair dryer to heat the home button to release the glue before trying to remove the original home button. Videos that show you how to release the home button without this step are kidding you as you will damage the home button if try to remove without warming the glue!Update, the seller made a full refund - no quibble and very reasonable.

Very pleased with this product. The home button on my wife’s iPhone 7 had cracked and lost all function. I had purchased the Smartex home button (£5.90 on Amazon) as I did not require the tools, however this purchase did not function and was very poorly manufactured. After returning that one, I purchased this button and tool set by LL trader and it worked immediately. As explained in the item description, the fingerprint recognition aspect of the home button no longer functions, but all other features returned. Everything I was looking for and expected with this item. Highly recommend spending the extra few pounds, it was a far more professionally packaged item. Only criticism is there wasn’t a glue strip attached to the home button flex cable to stick in place, but easily overcome.

This button fits perfectly well into he screen. It matched the exact shape and size of the original, but it just doesn’t work. I tried this attached to 3 different replacement screens. Nothing worked. On the plus side it’s not overheating like the original one was**the screen that was overheating with the button was tossed in the bin and not a part of these trials

Do not buy as a professional phone fixer who fixes phones for a living take it from me do not buy this product ever I’ve purchased 2 to make sure and they do work but they have a mind of there own where it presses itself where u could be on a app and it takes u to the Home Screen 2 faulty items not a coincidence they sell faulty products and I would never recommend

Unfortunately it didn't work for more than a day, since installing it has stopped working several times and I've had to turn the phone on and off.... Contacted for a return/refund.. Shame because looks good just maybe a bad unit.. I've given 3 stars for fitting and looks but would give 0 for functionality..

Fitting was easy enough and all the other reviews for these replacement home buttons didn't inspire me with confidence. Occasionally the button sticks but on the whole does the job pretty well albeit without the known fingerprint recognition.

Arrived very quickly as expected. Fitted in 10 mins and working brilliantly ( obviously no fingerprint reading) and solved my damaged old home button problem. Highly recommended.

Bought one of these from eBay and it didn’t work, this one does work and it comes with a nice little tool kit, however every time phone is switched off then on, rather annoyingly the assistive touch button appears, which you obviously don’t require if the home button is working again (minus Touch ID), this can be turned off but again appears when phone is restarted.
