Glukos, Glucose Energy Powder, Orange 2 Gal Bulk Canister, 1.83 lbs

This is the best endurance supplement I've used. For me it does exactly as it claims. The taste is light which I like. Not too sweet. I stopped using Sport Legs after finding this. This powder in my Camelbak and 1 energy bar gets me through a 30 mile mountain bike ride no problem and feeling great at the end. The clumping in the container is weird but I can get around that. It would be great if the powder was sold locally in stores.

As you can see from the first image, the product is a clumpy mess in the sealed container. It requires crushing to get it into a consistency that can be measured accurately. I repackage it into 5 gram packets for a dose that will raise blood sugars by 30-35 mg/dl. This is a very powerful supplement so it wouldn't be wise to consume a full 24g serving unless exercising extremely hard. Unless your body is burning glycose and depleting its glycogen stores, the excess will go directly to fat storage.

I love this. I love the orange flavor. It's there, but not very assertive. and it's not very sweet either.I mix it with "Vitalyte Electrolyte Replacement Drink Mix Orange" as my morning drink - glucose and electrolytes.

I love this stuff and I can’t wait for Glukos to bring it back on the market. The no caffeine is perfect when I want energy without the caffeine high especially on long runs.

The reason for 3-Stars is the taste, staining my plastic water bottles, and poor mixing qualities. The 1st time I purchased the Lemon flavored powder mix, and the flavor was just OK, but the product worked as promised. I was on 100 mile bike ride, and I saved my Glukos filled water bottles for last part of the ride. It worked extremely well and got me home; however, the lemon flavor was not to my liking; so the 2nd time I purchased the Orange flavored powder mix. Again, I did not particularly like the taste; also, the powder did not mix very well, and it left an orange colored residue in my plastic water bottles. The residue does not come off very easily. However, the product does work extremely well for replenishing electrolytes and energy, and until I find a better product, I will continue to buy/use Glukos.

The new formulation has a BIG problem with clumping. The contents of the canister was like a block of concrete. Contacted the folks at Glukos and they suggested storing it in the refrigerator. We’ll see if that works, but never had this problem with the original formulation.

I use this all the time when I cycle, I now have this auto delivered.

Love the taste without the sticky, sugary after taste. The only reason for leaving out 1 star had to do with the strong color residue it leaves on my straws and water bottles.
