Fountain is an answered prayer. Sanity back.
I've been using this fountain for my cat for the past four months and I have nothing but praise for it so far. My cat insisted on hose drinks (in warmer weather) or some kind of running fresh water and it was driving me up the wall giving her drinks all the time, but I was afraid she wouldn't drink enough for good health without that pampering. She wouldn't drink from a bowl of fresh tap water, bottled water, whatever. I tried a different fountain earlier and she took one drink and never looked at the thing again (you know what I mean, cat parents!). I saw this fountain and in desperation I thought I'd give it a go since it looked like if would deliver the water the way she likes to drink. Because it's not pouring out from a higher spout, she can easily walk up and get her drinks from the little flow of water from a gentle stream below her mouth. There isn't the threat of getting water in her windpipe which can happen when she has to tip her head at an angle to catch the streamāthat doesn't happen with this unit. She took to this one fairly quickly, which was kind of a miracle for my highly-opinionated cat. I think she likes the stainless steel water taste over the plastic unit I had before (and I just feel better about having less plastic exposure in the unit). It's a breeze to clean!!! I have a tiny little brush I bought to clean the spigot and the filter pump and basket, but other than that, there aren't any weird areas that are hard to scrub out. I don't even use the filters anymore. I just wash everything out with warm water and dish soap and rinse it well, and it's a snap to get quickly up and running again (which is good because my cat gets very excited about getting super-fresh water back in it again!). It might take me five minutes or less to clean it well and get it going again. I usually wash it out every 2-3 days without the filter and I think I might need that frequency of cleaning anyway. Her long hair and little food bits catch in the filter basket just like they should so they don't clog up the pump. You do want to watch the water level if you have multiple kitties or a dog because the water level can get low. I don't think this would be big enough for a medium to large dog. If they had a larger version, definitely, but this one just doesn't have that water capacity.I don't even hear it running usually, but it has a very quiet sound I can hear if the room is really quiet. She can get her drinks at night easily, which is a godsend because there's less hopping on the bed to wake me up for a drink! Anyway, the simple design is brilliant and I think it's probably the best cat fountain I've seen, at least for our needs!

Great purchase and fantastic customer service
My cats absolutely love drinking water from a fountain. The steam of water is strong and makes a nice fountain that can be adjusted. It's not loud at all. The bowl is huge and easy to clean. There are instructions on how to clean the motor, but it's a little difficult to get into some of the small areas. But you can generally get in to clean the motor better than any other fountain I've had. You get a few replacement filters, too.The best thing is the warranty. After a few months, the motor stopped working. I was able to contact them on Facebook and they were wonderful. They sent me a whole new fountain! Thank you!

It Works, But High Maintenance and NOT Optimal
The challenge with this unit is that you cannot see the water level. This is NOT trivial.Deceptive Capacity: It's also a pain since it needs to be refilled way too often, needing a lot of unusable water just to keep the water level high enough for the pump to operate. So the theoretical capacity is deceptive. The actual usable water for the pet(s) is very limited - which defeats the whole purpose of a "Pet Fountain".Not only do you need to constantly top this up, but it's hard to judge when it's full - We often have overflows and have to clean this up. Is this the end of the world? No - But who wants to constantly waste time when other alternatives don't have this problem.Advantage: It's fairly easy to clean, and has few components.I'm not thrilled about the filter size, but hey, it works. It's easy to change out, so that's a plus.It is fairly quiet in terms of water sounds, but is a royal pain as it often makes flow choked sounds as it has such a small usable volume and constantly needs top ups.CONCLUSION:In sum, there are better options out there, like the clear plastic higher volume models that are available. We got this unit and one of the clear plastic ones at the same time to compare and use one upstairs and one downstairs. The clear plastic fountain has a significantly higher usable volume than the WOPET, and you can see exactly what the water level is with the clear plastic fountain we purchased (3 Liter capacity). With the 3 liter clear plastic option you don't get the constant water choked issue of the WOPET requiring top ups all the time, which in practical terms is a major plus for the clear plastic option, vs the high maintenance "WOPET".

One of the better ones out there
So I've had two of these fountains for over 6 months now, the first broke due to my stupidity. The second is a replacement that's been running for about a month.I picked this design because of the lid: I have 3 cats who track cat litter and the little darlings all love to drop their tails/paws into the fountain, so having a lid that can protect the majority of the water is very useful! The body is entirely metal - ideal for me because one of my cats has acne which is exasperated by plastic products. The motor is plastic and the spout is a different material, I don't recall what it's made from.It has very few components and those are rather easy to take apart for cleaning. I find it useful to have a small pipe cleaner and a brush to get into all the nooks and crannies. These are items that do not come with the product but are easy enough to come by.It is lightweight, which was another important factor for me as my cat's room is far from the kitchen. It isn't a chore and balancing act to carry it through the house.I personally find it to be a very quiet fountain, you can only really hear the gurgling when it is low on water. The water capacity is low in comparison to other fountains, particularly the plastic ones. I find I need to refill the water every 3-4 days with 3 cats, and do a complete clean and filter replacement every 2 weeks.I also have the problem of living in an old house with floors that are no longer level, which does have a big impact on the fountain. If it's not in a stable position it will overflow and throw out more water than it retains. It takes a few attempts to learn the sweet spot, which is incredibly frustrating.Something worth nothing: WOPET does not sell replacement parts in the UK currently.I broke the motor on my original fountain and contacted WOPET to see about a replacement item. A service rep said they intend to sell replacement parts in the UK eventually but until then if you break something you are going to have to buy an entirely new fountain. The biggest problem I have with the fountain though is the filters: they are very small and are VERY expensive! It is also a gamble as to whether or not they will be available when it's time to buy replacements. I can't say for sure whether this will be a constant problem or if it's just the pandemic having an effect on the supply as I bought my first one late 2020.The filters can last about 2 weeks for me but depending on your water quality and how many cats you have, this may vary and is very important to take into consideration.Overall? It's one of the few mostly metal water fountains out there so it doesn't have much competition but it suits my needs and I'm willing to put up with the downsides enough to stick with this model.

Cats love it
Cats love it.One thing I would recommend is getting a non USB power supply though as I often have trouble with the USB to 5.5mm connector - I got this one from Amazon that works well - ASIN B07MH71WC1

Cat's love it! š
My two cats are terrible at drinking water! It's been so hot and humid, I tried to give them wet food but sometimes they will throw up.Set this up and within mere minutes both the cats took a long drink! I was squealing in joy! It works! There is no splashing except when my cat got aggressive with her licking and no loud noises from the fountain. Will purchase again and recommended!

Only worked for about two weeks.
This water fountain was excellent and Harry the cat loved it... for about two weeks. Sadly, I didnāt keep he receipt, but the water pump died and now I have a very expensive stainless steel bowl. Harry is devastated.
