Great booties for warm waters
I actually returned these booties to exchange for their Split Toe Superfreak Booties, but they are pretty much the same. Lightweight booties , very comfortable and easy to slide on and off. There is a velcro adjustable strap to tighten as well as a bungee with toggle. A solid sole which holds up to sharp rocks, coral even sea urchins. I wouldn't recommend for cold water, as these are for tropical waters. I have owned 4 Pairs of these for surfing in the Caribbean where there are a lot of sea urchins, rocks and coral.. The Split Toe model is better for surfing.

Perfect
I new these were going to be great after reading the reviews, but I was a bit worried about the size. I wear an 11 mens brooks ghost running shoe. I bought the 11 booties (not split toe). I was going to buy the 12s but I am glad I stayed with the 11s. Fit perfect. I've heard they run small, run large so I just went with my size.

Great booties but a little thin.
These are my second pair. I use them on a jetski and also at the water park. I do wish the bottom was a little thicker. My first pair got a hole in both feet. Walking on gravel can be a little painful as they are just not thick enough. I understand that some may line the thinness as they want to feel the surfboards and be able to maneuver. Just be aware that protecting your feet on sharp rocks or coral may not work. Very comfortable and true to size of shoes. My old pair look new except for the bottoms.

Comfort, protection, love them!
Second pair for me, I wore out the soles of the first pair walking from car to surf 1/4 mile, after about 100 uses. That’s completely fair, as the soles of these need to be thin for board feel. Look, Nobody wants to wear booties, but I don’t want to cut my feet on rocks and coral at my favorite break either (cause then I can’t surf for a couple of weeks, right). I tried the split toes, but they hurt. I don’t even notice these are on, and my grip on the board is actually better. I were a size 9 in shoes, but a size 10 in these booties.

Pretty good, wouldn’t mind a slightly wider sole
I bought these to wear while paddle boarding, there are some sharp rocks and barnacles in the area. They were fine for that. Great traction. They did feel a little narrow and I could feel fatigue in my feet trying for a wider footprint for better board control in the choppy water. As it was a very lengthy paddle of several hours straight. I don’t think I will notice the same problem for surfing as much of the time is sitting in the lineup and only standing a minute at a time. Also, when they say Tropical they mean it, these boots are thin and they have drain holes toward the front. These would not be good in cool-cold waters.

Fulfilled All Expectations
I made the purchase to protect a toe injury and this bootie worked like a charm.I've never been a fan of wearing booties, and certainly not wearing one in the summer. But this is lightweight and comfortable, and did a great job of keeping water from not filling up.

ALL TIME FAVORITE REEF BOOTIES!!!
We surf all over the world and it is so hard to find great reef booties. These are amazing. They have a pull string in the back and they fit like a dream with no water getting inside. We ordered 2 pairs and will probably order another set again to ensure we have them at all times. Worth every penny!Trust me when I say they are the best!!!! I have had others that came off in the water while surfing or let water in. These Botties do not come off at all as they fit like a glove and are amazing while surfing.Great purchase and will order again!!!!

Perfect light weight and fit
Was looking for a boot that was fairly thin and light weight and had great feel on a sailboard. This model does all that. Velcro straps keep it snug. Easy to slide into footstraps on windsurfer. Size 11 fits like size 11 should...

Great quality
This is great quality boots, only thing is that we had to take 1 size larger than we normally use.

Seem like good quality but a bit lightweight
A lot of reviews said to pick 1 size up so I did (got a 9 instead of 8) and they were just a bit loose so had to return them. 8 might have been a bit tight but I prefer that. They looked great, but have a thin soul, which might be great for surfing where you want more board feel, but for windsurfing and foiling I want something heavier and more durable. I feel like these would not last long, and for the price I don't want to take the risk - so i didn't reorder the smaller size.

Order your shoe size
I'm a little annoyed that I read the reviews saying to order up a size. I'm consistently a size 11 (wide) foot in shoes, so I was reluctant to order up one size as I never wear 12 in anything. I should have stayed with my gut on this one. O'Neill knows what they're doing. These are not shoes, they are surf booties and need to fit snugly when wet. Size 11 would've been perfect. The product itself looks good. Probably not as durable as my old booties, but I plan to wear these only on the board.
