Used this vallejo Acrylic paint to paint the front sight on my rifle to make it more visible. It was just what I needed.

Great color but disappointed in the coverage
This a great looking color. Unfortunately it is very watered down. Even after 4 coats, I did not get very good coverage to the point where I had to lay a different color yellow down. Then hit it again with this yellow.This is the first time I’ve had this issue with Vallejo paints. I thought maybe I had just received a bad bottle so I ordered a 2nd one. Sadly with the same results.

coverage not great but nice enough color
I've tried this Flat Yellow over a few different base tones and it does not dry as opaque as one might wish. After 2-3 coats, it is okay, but still a little washy even over similar tones. It is possible that perhaps my bottle is not typical and is waterier than normal, so might cross reference with other reviews. But my experience, compared to many other colors created by the same manufacturer which cover beautifully, is that this particular color does not have great coverage.

Chalky, Unpleasant
I was originally using this as the yellow for my Space Marines, but even with multiple layers, the coverage was terrible and the paint was chalky. I ended up just buying the Citadel Yriel Yellow instead, don't bother with this one, I am sure other Vallejo yellows are better, but not this one.

Good quality acrylic, ideal for painting plastic model kits
Good quality paint, brushes on well and dries to a nice finish. Also sprays on very well once thinned down.
