Power and finesse for the advanced player, too!
I keep reading that this is a great beginner's paddle. It's much more than that. Yes, I purchased it when I was first starting to play, but as my game has progressed, and I tried "upgrading" to brands like Selkirk and Gearbox, I found that none could match the power and touch of the Rally Tyro 2. Even though the other paddles weighed more (over 8 oz) the real difference I found was in the power of the Rally Tyro. I can hit passing shots from the baseline with confidence. The ball jumps off the paddle low and fast. No matter how hard I tried, I could not replicate this power with the other paddles. And it plays the finesse game around the net beautifully. I've found my go-to paddle and am sticking with it!

Seemed fine, at first
Very lightweight, which is what I wanted. Seemed fine, at first, but then after about the third use, it seemed to react differently to the ball. The sound the ball makes on the paddle (which all pickleball players are familiar with) became very strangely pitched (high?), so much so that other players comment on it. Difficult to explain, but the lack of the familiar sound throws me off. Other players with similar weight and composite paddles don't have this problem. It's not broken, just makes a very "tinney" sound, which it didn't seem to do when I first purchased it (or maybe not as noticeable?). May not be an issue for anyone else.

The Rally Tyro 2 Pro paddle has a great feel to it - lightweight with a good response ...
I am new to Pickleball but have played several racket sports such as Tennis and Paddleball. I borrowed paddles prior to purchasing one. The Rally Tyro 2 Pro paddle has a great feel to it - lightweight with a good response to give a solid hit over the net anywhere on the paddle. The handle is comfortable, just the right size. I had researched paddle composition and this was the right one for me. The Rally Tyro has a great edge with just a small lip, perfect! It has a nice padded cover, too-a bonus. I have enjoyed learning and playing a new and fun sport-great at any age.

Value for money
Just played with this paddle and was impressed with the feel and touch around the net as well as serves and drives from the baseline. Highly recommended for beginners to intermediate players if you are budget conscious and get this at current sale price which is lower than PickleballCentral online store. Being USAPA approved is a bonus.

Heavy but durable
Just getting into Pickleball so didn't want to spend a ton on a paddle. I thought this paddle would suffice as a starter and it does. It is well made and seems durable. I was happy with it until my wife bought a different paddle. It is far lighter than this model. Not that that's a bad thing, but gotta think that a lighter paddle can be moved quicker to catch some of those kitchen line power shots. At my age, I need all the speed I can get...

I'm learning pickleball with this
I love this racquet. I'm a beginner, and first time playing one player let me borrow her racquet to compare to the simple wood ones provided for newbies. I loved the grip of hers. This grip is just like it, and this one is a bit heavier, which I like. It's exactly what I wanted, and my 2nd time playing - using this racquet for 1st time - I and others noticed how drastically I had improved over the 1st time I played.

Decal bubbles
This paddle is less than 2 months old and only been used twice. The decal is bubbling. I’m past the 30 day return so I’m hoping Pickleball Central will see this review and make it right. I have another from them and it has been fine.

New Player
I'm a new Pickleball player and was using various paddles before purchasing this one. I had used one like this and the friend who owned it liked it. That's why I bought this one in addition to the good reviews. I have only played with my new paddle a few times but it feels good in my hand and I like everything about it so far. I like having my own paddle so I can get used to it and how it plays.
