Rock Bottom Hardcover – March 1, 2011

This was the first book I've read by Ms Brockovich and I'm glad I gave it a try. In reading what other people write in their reviews, I realize that I don't know the first thing about how a book is "supposed to be written"---there are many experts out there that talk about character development, structure, settings and other things that make books a literary masterpiece. Simply put, a good read to me is a book that keeps me thinking about it when I'm doing other day-to-day activities and makes me rush through those responsibilities so that I can get back to my reading! This book did just that. The other judge of a good book is, after I finished, did I look to see what else this author wrote. I recommend this one!

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes intrigue. It was well written. And a page turner. If you like books about environmental issues you will enjoy this book.

I have read this book before and it was just as thrilling as before. It is a story that needs telling.This may be fiction but the story has a real ring of truth.

I really wish I could give this book more than 3 stars. For the most part it was a good story, kept me interested. But what leaves it at 3 stars is the frantic pace that starts about half way through and continues to a frenzy. So many bad things happening at once, one after another, kept me racing to the end. Sometimes that means it's a can't-put-it-down novel and I'm loving it. With this particular story, I just felt rattled. I felt that way with Ms. Lyons 3-book medical series, too. Same frantic pace. SPOILER ALERT!!! I also strongly disagree with the killing of Cole, David's dad. David had wanted a dad all of his life. Since this appears to be the start of a series, it would have been nice to let David have that for awhile. It would have been a good dynamic to explore with David and AJ as well. I already have the second installment in this series. I may or may not read it.

This was recommended by my sister and I am glad she did. This was a great story with strong females! I really had to make myself put it down. Do yourself a favor, it is an easy enjoyable read!

Rock Bottom is the story of an environmental activist who returns to her hometown and discovers everyone has secrets. The characters are interesting, believable and flawed. I had trouble putting this book down.

Book was attractively priced. It arrived on schedule in excellent condition. It served me well, because I had started reading a copy, but failed to finish it, and I wanted to. I don't need another copy of this book now, but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another attractively priced book from this supplier.

After watching the movie, I liked reading the book. Isn't it a shame that the bottom line is always money.
