I purchased this as a stocking stuffer item for my some in law, he likes pocket watches so I figured this would be a good little gift. It's really quite nice for the price, I handled it briefly as I removed the internal plastic before I wrapped it. It felt nice too. It's a cool looking piece; I think it actually look better in real life then as pictured here. Cool gift for the right person.

This is such a beautiful watch! The pictures don't really do it justice. (I got the round silver version.) I purchased this watch because I don't like wristwatches. It's a little difficult to read because of all the mechanics but it is definitely a work of art! This would make a great gift, especially for anyone who's into Steampunk. Highly recommended!(Edit) The only negative thing I will say about the watch is that it does not come with an instruction manual (or at least mine didn't). It is a mechanical watch so it must be wound but there's no indication of how often to wind it. It has stopped working for me a couple times but I just had to rewind it and all was good. So now I wind it to its maximum every few hours just to be sure. (Once it reaches the maximum amount of winding, you won't be able to wind it further.) But it would be nice to know how often to wind it. Also, pull up on the winder to set the time, then push it back down to wind it. Other than that, it is an amazing watch and work of art!

I bought this for myself as an interesting little knick-knack. I'm thoroughly impressed so far. Seems accurate, beautiful ticking noise, easy to set. Gears can be watched through the glass, which is beautiful to see. One gear oscillates very visibly constantly. Readability isn't terrific, but you should probably expect that just from looking at the pictures, since this watch is partly about displaying the beauty and harmony of the internal workings, and you can definitely read it just fine when you have to; at least I can. Feels of a much sturdier build than you'd expect for $22.00. If you want it for *yourself* as a cheap nice thing to come in your Amazon mail to cheer you up -- like I did -- then I'd recommend just buying it. You probably won't regret it for the price. I can think of numerous people who would very much enjoy this watch, even if they don't take it with them daily.

Pro’s: Very nice watch. I’m impressed with the quality, in consideration of the low cost. Winding the watch, and pulling the stem to set the time, provided a crisp, positive, feel. Of the short time that I’ve had this watch, it has kept very good time.Con’s: As per the title, I got the round silver model. To me, it was the most attractive of the various options available. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to read the hands and face of this particular style watch. Although with adequate lighting, it’s a little easier to read. Brighter hands and hour markers would be a great upgrade to this watch.In consideration of the low price point, and the exceptional reliability over the short time that I’ve had this watch, I feel that it’s an excellent value.

beautifull watch. but DO NOT put it in your back pocket. the bezel glass on the front and back are strong enough to carry in your back pocket (which is where i carry my watch). back glass cracked on the second day while getting out of my car. I am not a large man, 180lbs max. very dissapointed, why make an unprotected front and back glass face out of fragile glass.

I've had this watch for a few months now. I bought it to help me get away from using or even having a cell phone. It has held up to daily, continues to function reasonably well and represents a good value.It consistently gains roughly 3.5 minutes per day if kept at a full wind, which is fine if you know to expect it. Get used to giving it a little winding whenever you check it. With practice, I got a feel for the correct tension on the knob to keep it running more or less on accurate time.

I just got it in. Very nice, as nice as I expected.

After reading the reviews I was nervous. It's very cheap so I took the risk. Wanted to see if I'm a pocket watch guy. Not only has it been running constantly for weeks with no issues, as far as I can tell it hasn't lost more then a few seconds over that time. Also it will run nearly 2 days on one wind.
