Size:12 Pairs Zildjian's most popular model. Full-size oval tip produces full tone. The DIP material is a special coating that is applied to the grip area of the stick to provide a comfortable, slightly tacky gripping surface. This allows drummers to loosen their grip and relax their hands more, particularly in sweaty playing situations. The DIP coating also offers the drummer or percussionist an alternative striking surface.

Zildjian Rocks. Buy These and Rock With Them!
Well, they are wooden drum sticks with nylon tips and black grip areas that are coated with some kind of tacky material that keeps the sticks from sliding out of your hands. They look sweet with the Black and Maple contrast, along with the gold Zildjian imprint. The weight and thickness is perfect in my hands. They seem to be very well made, as I would expect from anything bearing the Zildjian name.I don't hit super hard and the lightweight of the 5A's allow me to play a little faster than the next size up, so I'll be sticking with this particular model for the foreseeable future. If you're already already using 5A's and you haven't tried these, it's worth giving them a shot.

Hand's down, the absolute BEST drum stick you will ever use! A++++++++
These sticks are PERFECT and a pair will last you many years. Don't waste you money on the cheap sticks. It is false economy as they break, chip and the plastic tips fall off. For my money, these are the absolute best sticks on the market. I'm an old, wise drummer of several decades. I appear on over 50 albums and have toured the world performing. Needless to say I have tried many, many types of drum sticks from cheap to expensive and NONE are as good as these Zildjian 5A Nylon Black Dip Drumsticks. Use these and you will never ever go back to another stick!

Save your money and purchase higher quality sticks
I expect to have beginner pine sticks to break quickly and often but at $10 a pair, these should last longer. The first stick broke in under 10 minutes and the second stick broke an hour later. I have a set of Vic Firth sticks that have lasted me over a year. I'll be moving back to that brand.

Good sticks for their purpose
These sticks provided extra grip, especially if your hands sweat very much. They are a little heavier than non-dipped sticks, but that's actually good for practicing rudiments. It strengthens your hands as you play. It is good to go back and forth between non-dipped sticks and these as you will have trouble holding non-dipped wood sticks if you only practice with these dipped sticks. The sticks are well balanced. Nylon tips are good for electronic drums, as they do not mark the cymbals.

A fantastic set of drum sticks for practicing playing the drums. They feel great in my hands.
I have just begun to practice the drums and even though I have a set of drum sticks I heard it is a good idea to have more than one set of drum sticks. I decided to purchase this model (Zildjian 5 A, Nylon Black Dip drum sticks) which I bought for a bargain price on Amazon. I like the black grip portion when practicing drumming. This model also has a nylon tip.I am just a beginner learning how to play the drums but I really like the way these drum sticks feel in my hand when I practice. If you are into drums you may want to check out this type of drum stick.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Use of the cane, walking stick and Hanbo for self-defense).

It's Zildjian Brand 5A Sticks, with Nylon Tips - Perfect combination - Worth every penny.
My favorite brand of sticks,.. my preferred size/5A - with nylon tips. You can't go wrong with Zildjian here. I will say the Rubber (black) grips will wear off somewhat quickly (Took a couple of weeks for me,.. obviously will depend on how frequent you play, grip style, etc).

Fantastic Sticks the Rubberized dip Keeps you from accidental Throws
Zildjan Sticks with the rubber dip definately keep you from accidental throws and they give youmore control on your rolls, escpecially on the snare drum.. However, if your fingers are not verycalus the rubber will rip open your skin after a bit.. I suggest finding on Amazon a bottle of Tinctureof Benzoin, they have it in many different forms and brands, and putting it on your fingers where thewear is and this will calus up the skin so that its hard and strong. its an old musicians trick for manydifferent types of playing escpecially drummers and guitarists who fingerpick.. These Zildjan Sticksare the best on the market by far.

Lets ypu have a Good Grip
The nylon tips on these sticks lets you get a bright sound on cymbals. I've had them for a couple of months now and they're in a good condition. Also, you get a pretty good grip without the need of adding tape or other things.
