Large Zabuton Meditation Mat

I really like kapok meditation cushions. This is one of the only kapok filled zabutons I could find for sale on Amazon. Glad I could find this one. It is very well made and provides a lot of cushioning. Great meditation cushion.

best floor pillow I have ever used!! For someone like me who lives a Japanese lifestyle, this is awesome!!

Very comfortable. It is as good as asdvertised. It is important to consider having a place home for it since it does not store away readily.

This is a great cushion for meditation! Now if i can only use it as often as my cat does. :-)

Perfect for meditation or just sitting on the floor. Without it my ankles would get cold against hardwood floors. They would also become very uncomfortable due to pressure from the weight from my legs squeezing them into the hardwood floor or carpet. I carry it from upstairs to downstairs, no problem. Not too thin and not too thick. It doesn't lose it's shape real easy, either. I've had it for 2 months now and I'm very happy.

This mat is wonderful! Large and comfy--perfect for meditation or just sitting on the floor for a project. So glad I purchased this.

I didn't do enough research to find out that this is just an oversized pillow. While it does the job of sitting on a hardwood floor for an extended period of time. I was expecting a more buckwheat filling. The kapok stuffing is just an alternative for cotton or poly-fil. I should have looked up what Kapok was first.

Review for Large Zabuton Meditation Mat, OliveI was pretty disappointed in this zabuton mat. I had ordered from this same company (ZafuStore) about 10 years ago and I LOVE the mat I received then, and was looking forward to my second one. My one from 10 years ago is still in PERFECT shape but my dogs have commandeered it so I needed another.The 10-year-old one is more substantial, has real cotton batting and is super comfortable - I could sleep on it if it were bigger. The new one is filled with lighter and less dense kapok batting. Kapok wouldn't have been a deal breaker since I know it's more sustainable than cotton (and the company's description makes it clear that's what you are getting). What was a deal breaker, was the synthetic fabric (see photos) covering the kapok batting.My 10-year-old mat has a well-made all-cotton canvas cover with pin-tucks. (It's really nice!) The new one is a shiny, all-synthetic material that is a noisy when you touch it. Also, this inner cover had ink marks and water stains on it. The outer cover (in sage green, all cotton canvas) is very nice and seems to be just like my old one.That adage "they don't make things like they used to" is so often true, unfortunately. The company did kindly give me a refund. I'm still giving the product 3 stars because they seem like a good company and the product is not bad if you haven't been spoiled by a better quality one. I could have deducted another star for the stains, but hopefully the company will see this message and increase their quality control.If ZafuStore switches back to an all-cotton canvas inner-cover, I would definitely purchase from them in the future.
