Just a bit expensive!

Lovely designs and have already used quite a lot in my Christmas card making.

First of all, the designs on these papers are beautiful. They really are. Which makes the fact that they're almost unusable all the more frustrating.These 12 pages come bound as a book. You can't tear them out without damaging the pages. I have tried using a scalpel and trying to remove them by getting to the gummed binding to tear them off at the binding (this works better, but they still have edges that have been affected by the glue and have glued together). Neither method gives you a proper piece of 8X8 scrapbook paper. If you just want to cut shapes from the paper, this could work. I wanted to use these to make some letters on my digital cutter - that worked okay - but I also wanted to use the 8x8 pages in a blank board book and this has worked terribly because of the destroyed edges of the pages.The second issue is the quality of the paper - it's not like usual scrapbook paper, it is very, very thin. In making a board book with the frayed pages, I followed the steps I always use with scrapbook pages by sticking them in and then using a sharp craft knife to trim away the slight excess (almost pointless in this case, but I tried anyway) - the paper didn't cut cleanly, but ripped slightly along the cut edge giving it an even more ragged appearance. Compared with the usual paper I use for these books, it was an unmitigated disaster.I definitely would not recommend this paper for scrapbooking. It shouldn't be labelled as such!(The pictures show the other design I bought - they are the same brand, just different designs. One picture also compares the frayed post-craft-knife cut to other, stronger, scrapbook paper cut the same way - the proper scrapbook paper cut cleanly, this paper tore along the edge making it look very messy)
