Fixed P1259 Check Engine Light - VTEC Solenoid Failure
If you get a P1259 CEL on your civic, buy this and a VTEC solenoid gasket set for about $15 each. Get some carb cleaner as well and a 10mm and you've got everything you need to rebuild your VTEC solenoid/valve. Be aware that these will not fix a totally seized solenoid actuator (the thing that powers the oil valve open), so check out some video tutorials on how to test that manually with voltage to make sure it's working. Don't spend $500 on a new one if it's broken, either, your local yard should have loads if cleaning it doesn't help.Overall, parts fit perfectly, and the solenoid works like new.

Fits Honda S2000
Saw on a forum that a switch from an older Del Sol would fit an S2000. Sure enough, it fit and works as expected. The gasket it comes with is smaller than s2k so I just used the old one. The thread and plug fit and VTEC activates at 6000 rpm as on the original. If the engine is not warm enough it'll cut the fuel around 7000 rpm, just like the original, keep that in mind, nothing to do with the switch...

Not bad
So far so good, one thing I did do is swap out the oring, with a thicker one…..6/25/22 alright fast forward almost a year and it’s better than expected, definitely do recommend vtec engages right on point and strong!

If you love your car, buy genuine parts.
I bought this knowing I'd take a gamble with Chinese junk. For my 1997 honda prelude h23a vtec, my vtec switch was starting to leak internally.Bought a new genuine ORING as well as this Chinese switch. Since the OEM switch is $90 at hondapartsnow.comI torqued it to 16 ft lbs as stated on the helms manual. No leaks.Vtec cracks at 5200rpm for me.Vtec works, BUT everything cuts off at 6500 rpm with this switch. I tried in each gear, 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd, the oil pressure HALTS at 6500. This switch is DEFECTIVE.I re installed my leaky OEM switch and no problems. I can rev vtec all the way to 7200 rpm (or higher if you want, but no point).I am returning this, and either gonna go to a junkyard, or buy GENUINE.stay away!!!!p.s. I don't see how it would rip in pieces like the other gentleman's comments. It's sturdy, but otherwise it just can't do what OEM does.

Will Crack
I purchased this to replace my OEM oil pressure switch because a faulty code. It lasted me a few months but then cracked and spew oil out dramatically. Ended up replacing it with OEM. Don’t buy cheap, buy OEM.

No se arriesguen a comprar
The media could not be loaded.
