if you're on the fence about whether to try the feline pine pellets I recommend them whole heartedly
The size of bag I ordered is kind of pricey when compared to how much the same size is in a retail store. However, aside from that, if you're on the fence about whether to try the feline pine pellets I recommend them whole heartedly. Yes you have to scoop solids out ASAP because they don't cover the smell well but this stuff is practically a miracle if what you're concerned with is stopping the smell of your cat's urine without spending large amounts of money going through the more expensive scoopables quickly, hauling clay litter around, or even dumping clay into the landfills. Just stir Feline Pine around a bit when you clean out the solids in order to keep saturated spots from developing and sift the unused pellets out every week or two so you can dispose of the spent sawdust and you're good to go. When the pellets get wet from urine they dissolve into sawdust. The amonia from cat urine bonds with something in the pine and the wetness evaporates without a scent. Make sure to have a high sided box though because as the pellets dissolve the amount of litter actually grows a bit.

No more stinky box!
I have 2 cats who love to poop. Seriously. It’s like a competition. Thank goodness it’s always in the box!!! I’ll also add they’re both females. Since I have asthma I cannot use the clay clumping litter anymore, and no matter what, that cat box smell hung around. I work with rescues and this is what we use for kitty litter. Crazy to say that this litter smells amazing, it’s not strong, does not aggravate my asthma, super easy to clean and scoop and my cats actually love it too. I had zero trouble transitioning from clay to this. People actually comment on the fresh pine scent, because they assume it’s an air freshener. Even when one of my cats or both decides to out poop the other.

No smell, no dust, no sand in the house, happy cat
I was skeptical at first. I had tried “natural” cat litters in the past and my house smelled bad. I had gotten so sick of natural hippy dippy products that didn’t work well that I started to avoid them on that basis.I got a new kitty and she had been used to this at the shelter so I thought I would try it, maybe transition once she was settled. I never went back. The box does not smell! The urine turns the pellets into kind of a coarse sawdust but somehow it locks that ammonia scent in, it does a better job on odor than the clay.It doesn’t get tracked through the house either. You don’t hear your vacuum cleaner picking up sand all the time anymore, it stays in the box.It doesn’t stick to the side of the pan, and it lasts a long time. On the advice of another reviewer, I got the armAnd hammer sifting cat box. You need this. Since it doesn’t have the carcinogenic clumping agents, you can’t easily scoop it. You put the filter basin on top of the regular basin and the the litter in there. When it’s time to clean you scoop the #2s as usual, then gently shake the litter filter over the other basin. The sawdust stuff from the #1 falls through the holes into the basin. Empty that into a trash bag or old grocery bagAnd bam, perfectly clean box. Kitty loves it, I love it. Also you don’t get an asthma attack fromInhaling cat urine cancer dust every time you clean the box.Natural cat litter has come a long way in 10 years. This works.

BAD PRICE PER POUND :(
I love this product. The reason I gave it a bad review is the cost per pound is rediculous compared to prices elsewhere.$6.99 ÷ 7LBS = $ .99 A POUND$9.99 ÷ 20 LBS = $ .49 A POUND (HALF PRICE AT TARGET)$8.94 ÷ 20 LBS = $.45 A POUND ( MORE THAN HALF PRICE CHEWY.COM)I made a mistake buying this & I feel ripped off. My fault for not paying more attention to the size.I posted a photo to show just how small these bags are. There the size of a magazine!?That's barely enough to re-fill a change of the cat box. Absurd. Hope this helps people avoid my mistake.Again, this is a great product, but shame on Amazon upcharging it so much.

This is the only litter I use. However, ...
This is the only litter I use. However, since Arm & Hammer bought the company, I think the formula has changed. It doesn't seem to absorb as well as it did. Lately my friend has been buying bulk from a feed store, which is practically the same thing, but is used for bedding in stables. And it's a lot cheaper!

Game changer! Love this product.
I’m a new kitten parent. I’d never owned a cat in my life, I’ve always had dogs, but my boyfriend convinced me to adopt a little kitten and I had NO idea how to handle the litter situation. One of the main reasons why I didn’t want a cat I because of all the horror stories I’d heard about cats and their pickiness with litter... and the smell!A friend recommended I try this out with the Breeze System, and I LOVE it! It smells fresh, the cleanup is super easy, and I don’t have to throw out a bunch of litter every month. My kitten didn’t love it in the beginning, but he slowly got used to it, and he now loves it. You don’t have to change the pee pads as often, but I definitely recommend changing them every other day, at least when they’re young. It also neutralizes the smell of poop (after a bit), so that’s been great! I know people also flush the poop down the toilet, because it’s safe. I don’t because I live in an old house with REALLY old plumbing.... but I can see that being a huge plus! The pellets become dust when in contact with water, so it wouldn’t clog your pipes.I highly recommend!

Been using it for years now
I've been using this product for years. I buy both the pellets and the scoopable. From the first time I bought it, my cats took to it right away. The pellets break down into saw dust. It doesn't clump though, so you can't use a slotted scooper to remove it. The scoopable does. What I like best about this product is that it's lightweight and doesn't smell. I used to buy it in the grocery store, but it seems many stores stopped carrying it. I only find it in Petco and PetSmart -- and Amazon. I have 2 grown male cats and I still feel it goes a long way.
