This book is not sold where I live, so I had to use a shopping facility in another country and pay more for that facility. But let me say it is worth it, because 1. the book came in the best condition ever, its even in better condition than most books I bought from stores, and 2. The content is to die for

I love this book! I am recommending it to all my friends, and quoting from it a lot on my blog. This is probably the 5th book I have read by Fatima Mernissi and one of the best. The first chapter alone ("Writing is better than a facelift") makes it already worth reading, and what is to follow, explains the workings and mechanisms in Islamic society in the suppression of women, and she also offers ideas how to bring about change in the last chapter. A highly recommended read for every woman and especially those interested in Islam and the Arabic world.
