Denim Dudes: Street Style, Vintage, Workwear, Obsession

As a designer with over 30 years in the menswear industry I can tell you that Amy Leverton has gotten my attention. The dude stories, while short and focused, are rich and intricate in a way that weaves together a master story on denim and indigo.I especially like the geographic breakdown because it allows you to appreciate how culture can shape an appreciation of a fashion staple. My only regret is that now I truly wished I had kept some of the jeans I gave up! She's made me feel like - compared to these guys - I've sold my soul for the sake of a cleaner closet. I've given up my children! Ah well.This is a fantastic study on a lifestyle and culture that runs so deep within the veins of so many of us. Bravo Amy and I'll be looking to see what you do next.

I've been called a Denim Head and no matter how many times I've 'read' this book, I still find new inspiration. It's not really a book to read, but a photo book to see what others are doing with their denim. One of my favorite 'sewing books'.

An absolutely fantastic book. When I opened it for the first time I was completely floored by the sheer amount of content packed into the pages. The photography is excellent, especially the close up shots beautifully capture the texture of the denim. If you are considering getting this book, DO IT. You will not regret it.

Loved this book! Could not put it down! Lots of great full page colour photos of delicious denim! My only regret is that there was not enough variety in the outfits. Mostly denim jackets with jeans, jeans with denim jackets! More unique styling, varied cuts and fits was lacking. Overall a great book!

The book is amazing. Excellent photography, very interesting subject material (if you care about men's denim!). The blurbs on each subject are short enough to be interesting, but long enough to cover the subject.

This book is a must for the Denim enthusiasts. Each page features a character from the Denim scene from across the globe with a few lines from them about denim. Great for inspiration and creativity. I love the chosen paper and print style (its not glossy)

Great concept, excelent spotlights on denim industry peeps. Glaring omission of denim producers/collectors from the southern United States though!
