FS050RS 50 mm Full-Size Pick And Pluck foam tray self-adhesive

I bought this foam to transport very delicate glass ornaments, and overall it performed well and it protected the objects I was transporting. The foam sections are easy to pull out and shape into the sizes you need, and the centimetre by centimetre squares are small enough that you can shape it around odd objects. My only issue was the sticky back (which tends to fall off and get stuck to everything). I would have preferred there be a fixed foam backing included. Also the way the sections work (i.e. held together by thin bits of foam so you can pull it apart) meant that in transit a few of the sections I didn't want pulled apart were, which could be an issue in the long run.

its really good. Just a bit annoying when you pull the foam out it rips it all up, the pieces do stick back down though. great concept and versatile. Just not the blocks that pull out are still attached to keep the walls strong but are a nightmare to cut. But if your a hobbyist that's what we love

Needed something to pad out some expensive kit for work, this was brilliant, the adhesive on the bottom really helps too. The one improvement could be that if it were possible, to have a half way tear point on the foam in case you didn't want it all ripped out. You can do this manually but it isn't as even as i would have liked. I appreciate it's not likely an easy thing to do either. But if ever i need something fragile proctected i will definitely be buying this all again.

Fiddly to use and quite messy, but some of that was my fault as I wanted it to fit in a smaller case for electrical items.

I bought this foam to provide some protection for a camera gimbal. I naïvely assumed that the pre-cut foam could be removed (in depth) centimetre by centimetre. The reality is that the pre-cut foam runs the full depth of the product, which means that a knife is required in order to create a cutout in the foam into which to place the item you are trying to protect. This I achieved but in the process sliced open my finger using a knife. Fortunately it stopped bleeding after 20 minutes. The online product description is very misleading - consequently I conclude this product is not fit for purpose which is why it only gets one star. I would have expected better from German engineering

30mm tray does not come with a base. Just a warning. When plucked, you can see clean through it. Instructions in brochure said it had one.

It's got a deep cavity to fit anything. I use it for my Armada ships, and they all go in quite well. Only thing is, I wish the removable columns were divided into two, so I can have easier control over the depth of the foam without permanently cutting it.

One of the best foam tray manufacturers around IMHO. Just remember to purchase your toppers and bases as they are supplied separately.Good quality, easy to pluck where needed to fit your models. I will certainly be purchasing more of these in future.
