Too small for BMW X5 revised
too small had to tape base - vendor saw my review and offered full refund as I was not satisfied - they approached me unsolicited with this offer - shows high standard of intention to satisfy customers and worthy of praise.

A mediocre product at best
I wanted this thinking would be safe for my I phone and looked like what I saw on TV for $42 from Tech something. It is a very poor quality as the 2 pieces supposed to interlock come undone as soon as you touch them! And NO DIRECTIONS included with the item. Why does AMAZON sell inferior quality products?This is my second review of this product as I heard from the seller who asked for photos. The reply went directly to him. And here is the content of my reply:SO the top photo shows you the 2 pieces that do not remain locked properly they come undone soon as you touch them, which makes it for a very insecure placement for my iPhone. Secondly the bottom those 3 pieces that I think it is supposed to expand the base so it fits different sizes of the cup diameter, have no idea how to get them to open or expand froths closed position. So basically I find your item a complete piece of junk! Sorry to say. Maybe you might include directions if there is a better way to make the 2 pieces lock securely and stay locked as well as how you adjust the base!THANKS

Works almost as expected
The device needs the supplied pads to ensure a firm grip, and no suction mounting by a twist expansion to the sides of the cup. This very adjustable and holds the cell phone vertically and tilt and swivel are nice. It holds very securely over rough roads.The device length and width adjustments are extensive however the ability to use WAZE Gps or Video viewing in horizontal mode is not workable due to the side-gripper positions. Solved if needed by elastic bands to secure the phone. Thicker leather cased IPOD also held well with the side grips pressed firmly in place.. Thinking to purchase again for my other vehicle.

Could be sturdier but very good
What keeps me from 5 stars is it feels flimsy/delicate especially the plastic tightening screw, I place the cup in my cupholder and twisted to expand, nice and snug very nice design. The height is adequate. After pushing in the ball to attach the cup to the phone holder, you tighten it with a plastic screw. I see that as the weak link and will update this review if/when it breaks. Love the way the holder squeezes my phone and the quick release is superb. I can adjust the view and am very happy with this item. Had it for awhile and it is great. Upping to 5 stars.

Best design
Hubby is a heavy equipment operator meaning lots of travel, directions go to gps locations down dirt roads and non-existant roads. I put allot of time and thought into choosing one based on features. Fexible arms were definately out! This setup resembles high-end gps holders on an adjustable ball. A far more rigid setup. To adjust to the cup holder you have 4 large, rubbery feet that you unscrew to tighten to the size creating a very positive grip. He just installed and is very pleased. It won't be re-adjusting itself with every bump. I guarentee next week everyone is going to want to know where he got his.

Good base adjustment but issues with thick phones/cases.
The base expands well to hold a variety of phone widths in car/truck cup holders and is easy to adjust. The width adjusts easily to accommodate different phone widths. The bottom grip is rather shallow and would be much (easily) improved by giving some length its “feet”(not a length issue) to accommodate thicker phones/phone cases. Just ok but could be very good. Time will tell how sturdy it is.

Sort of Flimsy
Just bought a new car and needed a new phone mount. I am coming from a Kuda mount in my old car, that was designed for the car. Kuda doesn't make a mount for my new car. So I'm used to the best. I first bought this mount and thought it was too flimsy for my taste. And the bottom of the mount was not adjustable so it covers the audio output on my Galaxy S8. So i read the reviews and bought another one that was $5.00 more. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and found that it was exact same mount as this one.Needless to say I am returning the other mount and keeping this one. I guess it's the best I can do with this type of mount.

You get what you pay for.
Even expanded to the maximum, it was a little too small for my cup holder. But more annoying is that the phone holder doesn’t tightly, or anything remotely resembling tightly, attach to the base. The prongs go into base, but it won’t securely fasten, no matter how I try to maneuver it. I noticed another user comment saying the same thing. Perhaps it’s a defect, but an annoying one. My next solution to try: somehow tape the phone holder to the base. And I may need to wrap something around the base so it fits more snugly in my cup holder.Addendum:. This company contacted me immediately after my review was posted. They offered a refund, which I have already received. Clearly, a company trying to do the right thing and build a customer base. My experience with the product might well have been a one-off thing.
