Great fit and comfort!
Very comfortable and waterproof. Ordered an 11, my regular size and they were roomy and have extra room up front and sides for thicker socks. Thought they would be loose but able to lace them tightly and they were great for my hike. Aggressive sole pattern gave me sure footing on steep dirt trails but surprisingly didn't hold mud and dirt which is great. I trek through grassy fields early in the morning and my feet would always get wet from dew but these are definitely waterproof and my feet stayed dry. Lightweight. A little heavier than running shoes but not too heavy. Very rugged. I think they will last a long time.

Solid Shoe - Minor Issues
Leaving a quick review as this was a gamble purchase that has worked out. I usually get a pair of summer work shoes like Merrells or Keens. Mostly for working outside mowing and doing light farm work at my parents. I usually crush them over the course of a summer. I have a pair of heavier boots for serious work. This was a "why not try it for around $45 with a 10% off coupon." Anyway - one month in and here are my comments:1. I read other reviews and just switched out the laces with Gripstrings (They have their own website and work pretty well). Sounds like the ones that come with the shoes are no good, so I didn't even bother finding out.2. They do not have a protected toe shield like steel-toe or something similar. They just have a rubber toe cap for minor protection and waterproofing.2. They are tougher and more rugged than I anticipated. Seem solid with good foot support and firm sole. I've put it through the paces over the past month and nothing has gone sideways quality wise. Worked all day in the mud the other week landscaping and stayed dry. I also like the rubber toe cover for working outside in wet conditions.3. The shoe tongue is slightly undersized in my opinion - doesn't leave much space for the lace at the tope and it can cause the lace to pop off the tongue and drive into the top of your foot. Not a major issue once they are broken in but a few more millimeters of shoe tongue would be a good improvement.4. I did get a rub burn on the top left ankle after the first use, which has never happened with Merrells or Keens. Not sure what that was about, but a couple of band aids and breaking the shoe in better solved the problem.Anyway - a good solid shoe to consider for the price. Nothing much to complain about. Once they are broken in you should be good to go. I would say it took me about two total days working outside to get them in good working shape. I figure if they survive the summer - may be an annual purchase.

Real hiking shoes
These are very well made and supportive shoes. They weigh about 50% more than my casual running shoes, and it feels like the extra weight comes from stronger and more durable materials. I wouldn't hesitate to take these on a mountain trail. I haven't fully tested the waterproof qualities, but they kept my feet dry in heavy dew and some puddles that came halfway up the shoe. I'm impressed by the quality at this price point.

Successful purchase
Very comfortable shoes. The size is correct. They make an impression that they are strong and durable. The green color is very beautiful and I received many compliments.

Good shoe overall
I waited to wear these a few times before posting my review. I bought these for yard work around the house and have been mostly pleased. They have kept my feet dry and that was a main concern and the price was great. They are comfortable with decent cushion. Two concerns I have are 1: the tongue is too short and could be a little longer. When laced the laces sit at the very top of the tongue and I am not a fan of how that feels. 2: the laces are tough to get the shoe more snug to my foot. I have managed to get it to work for my needs but would prefer upgrades to these two features. These will work good for my intended use.

Great affordable hiking shoes
Don't waste money on expensive name brands. Buy this shoes, used them for hiking mountain in my local area. Bought expensive name brand for my Kilimanjaro hike last year and these could have done the job better. Waterproof, breathable, and very comfortable. Great protector against rocky and stony terrain. Will never give my money to expensive brands again, that have made it a habit of turning nature exploration only for the top 1 percenters.

Turned out to be pretty good.
I'm glad I waited to review these hiking shoes. I was going to review them after I had worn them for about a week, and I intended to give them a three star review. They look nice, but they weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped they'd be. I like to lace my footwear up nice and tight. The eyelets make these difficult to lace up tightly. I really have to work the laces to get them decently snug, but I still can't get them laced up as tight as I like them to be. Maybe if I switch the laces out with smoother ones, it will help with this issue. Also, the tongue is a little short. This isn't really a big deal though. So, why did I end up giving these four starts. Well, last week my area got hit with a couple of snow storms. Nothing that major. One dropped about nine inches of snow, and the other one about four inches. I thought I'd throw these shoes on and head out and shovel. I have to say, they kept my feet warm and dry. I don't know how they'd do fording a stream, but for stomping around in the snow these shoes did a heck of a job. So, with this in mind, I have to give them a solid four stars. Especially when you consider the $39.99 price that I paid for them. I definitely feel good about this purchase now.

Great sturdy shoe for price
These are comfortable on feet, tongue is a bit lacking, but just don't tie so tightly at top and you're good. I walk miles on my job everyday with these and they are Waterproof as well.

My second pair for a reason - Not the most expensive nor the least...
I've gotten my second pair now of the low rise AND I've also got the high top hiking boots so I've got some good experiences with these.Likes:- Good price point for hiking shoes/boots- Good wear (I hike weekly and do approx. 45km - 65km in all terrain)- The side profile is good, after all those km's I put on them over the past 4 months (same boots) the profile is now showing signs of wear which is to be expected over rocks, water and mud.- Water proof...yyyeeess but I do clean them and re-spray monthly so I would not rely on the factory waterproofing to last for many months.- Comfort, again I hike A LOT and in hiking socks these are very comfy, in a marathon single day hike I put on 22km's and it was not an easy hike, spent a lot of time in shale and loose dirt and a few streams, I did notice a very minor amount of moisture starting to work it's way in but given that, no problem.DISLIKES:- Less 'plastiky' looking side profile it does crack as mine have and I expect these to as well- Better gripping sole, materials are so inexpensive, this is an area I'd love to see improvement on- Liner on the heel, this is an area that most shoes lack solid construction, these are no different.SUMMARY:I'd get them, and I do get them and I will continue to get them for a reason. I used to wear out a $200 pair of hiking boots each season, and I do of these as well but for 1/3 of the price for the same thing!

Excellent quality
The initial problem was that these are way over sized compared with every other shoe firm I’ve ever used, however after returning a pair in my normal size and going for a smaller pair they are very good quality and extremely comfortable.
